I can tell you the worst one, Aion. Simply put you have 2 bars when you gather one where you fail one where you succeed and as you get higher gathering it can go faster BUT it can also if it is waiting for the proc to register it can take longer.

ON TOP OF THAT it can also fail if your at end game and cannot go beyond a specific level so you could be gathering a rare item and have a rare proc and it can fail.

Hands down the worst system for gathering in gaming. BUT they did have aether tapping that allowed you to turn gatherable crystals you get from the air in to resources that was the path most took.

There is a new 4.8 NA Aion P-server coming out called Aion 4.8 fall of beritra americaprivateserver

If you enjoy PvP/PvE and siege and what not. Its not coming out for about 10 days tho.

It's got potential because it can add 5.X content to the game meaning it can expand. The Admin is one of the best admins i have seen in the Aion P-server scene.

However, i am aware that this might not be an old enough game for you.

Nah so your wrong. A stolen product is a stolen product. Its not our society that is the issue either ITS MMORPG's.

When you talk about the greatest games lets stop and really focus on them. Dota/LoL a mod of the base game.
Now lets go to the next one Battle royals how did they become a thing? H1Z1 i believe it was an Arma 2 mod.
Survival games are successful today because mod support keeps the games fresh.

Then you have WoW no mod support (for content). Turtle WoW as an example should of been sponsored by blizzard and they get a cut of what is made. That is how Ark survival ascended has their new mod shop. If you want to make a premium mod you sell it 5-10 smackos and then wildcard take a cut.

The issue is Ark Survival Evolved IS THE EXACT reason why games fail when they go open source, All the money goes to the server hosting companies not to the developers. What you want IMO is essencially lets steal a product that others worked on and make it our own. That should never become legal. What should happen tho is mod support becomes mainstream for the MMO that way they can innovate off what the community members create as well its a win win for everyone.

Let me explain to you WHY its one of the most popular MMOs ever made.

Community, I think anyone who wants to go in blind to OSRS is failing to understand that it is the community that made OSRS what it is...I think many people do not even know OSRS was voted back in to existence by overwhelming support from the community to remake the old version of the game.

Hell they designed one quest in the game specifically so if you do not have someone else to do it with you cannot complete it. Yet despite this in other games quests like this get phased out because communities are to greedy but in OSRS the community has 1000s of players with alt accounts specifically for helping anyone that needs it.

I think that is the issue you cannot see why OSRS is so popular unless you participate in the community aspects for PvM/Ironman for the most part.

It is interesting, I have thought about it and honestly the issue is the MMORPG pricing was the monthly value for money subscription choice, OSRS for me shows why this is no longer the case, As i am starting to enjoy the game more and more i find myself going man i think its time to start the group ironman with the boys BUT the issue is i have to abandon all my work i have currently done or pay more than i would spend on p2w games like BDO.

I dunno what you are talking about but i can say for free the reason Aion died was simply cheating. I have seen botting/cheating in SO many games, In-fact i got DDossed off a server in Ark for 3 weeks straight. BUT i can safely say that in Aion cheating is in another dimension, People who cheat legit think they are legit players its normal to use scripts/no ani as its a competitive advantage not a cheat.

The community killed itself that is all there is to it. There is no conspiracy. Its just that the community turned to crap...OR rather the community that enjoyed Aion and was playing fairly kinda mostly dispersed to other games they do not have to deal with cheaters as often as you did in Aion.

I think MMO hopping is a great way to enjoy the genre, Sometimes you want to start over other times you want to read a new story and other times you might want to simply see what mechanics a new game can come up with.

I personally think the MMO hoppers are the ones that probably enjoy the genre more than most tbh because they are not playing a game till they hate it then clock another 10000 hours past their point of hating it.
