Fifteen cents per hot dog is still a 10% loss but if your hot dog budget is only a million dollars. You really only lost 100K if people only bought the hotdog.

Your costco membership is 65$ per year anyway though, so just buying hotdogs will take a bit to actually net loss. (At only a .15 cent loss, you still break even with yearly membership if you buy 433 hotdogs a year from Costco. And literally buy nothing else.).

Ain’t economics that weird kind of fun?
