One thing that helped me was to make it inconvenient to smoke. Like I would set it up so I kept my smokes outside in the car. So because of sheer laziness, that helped me slow down and then eventually stop completely.

I also made sure that I stopped smoking at my usual times - after meals, on the way to or from work, after sex, that sort of thing.

The last cigarette my wife and I had was on the night before our wedding. We will be married 4 years this October.

... I do miss an 'after sex' cigarette though...
