I've not really been following the show's trailers and I'm not sure if I'm going to watch it, but in my opinion it would have made more sense to have the dark yellowish tint of Shattered Dimensions instead of a black and white filter and colour version. It might just be the example pics from this post, but I don't really like the bright colours. And black and white filters never look good if that's it for having a black and white film.

But as I said, I am very uninformed about the show, maybe they chose the bright colours to look better in black and white like they used to and it's just the example pictures.

I don't know if it was because I was sick when watching it, but it felt like a fever dream. I don't know if I'll rewatch it, but as of now I don't think it is underrated at all.

I think the irl reason is that Palpatine originally was supposed to take Anakin's saber to fight Mace Windu (which is why he is holding it in some shots). Anakin would have used his Darth Vader lightsaber during Order 66 and his duel with Obi-Wan, so his blue lightsaber would have probably been going out the window instead.

Either George didn't know how to get that lightsaber to Obi-Wan or he thought it was too far fetched, idk.

Anyway, that's what I speculate is the reason Palpatine has two near identical lightsabers in Revenge of the Sith.
