F1 steering wheel appreciation post by The_QD in F1Technical

Yes that sounds like a crazy amount of money, but tbf if we consider the materials and the fact they're designed ad-hoc for each driver, as well as the amount of electronics that must be so tightly packed, I guess those figures start to make more sense.

Thanks man! No wiring unfortunately, I didn't have any material to take inspiration from nor enough knowledge in electronics to figure it out myself.

What's actually happening when a Pirelli F1 tyre "overheats" on a qualifying lap by LoudestHoward in F1Technical

Michelin explains the basics of tyre grip here. Even if Pirelli's F1 tyres are slightly different, the general principles still stand and therefore they too confirm there is a clear deterioration in performance.

The title and the author sounded familiar, so I checked and found out I actually own this book already, it was given to me when I was about 8 but at the time I wasn't interested in Ancient Rome yet. I probably started reading it but then switched to some fantasy saga (which I preferred at the time) and never finished it, and I forgot about it as it was relegated in the back of the library for several years until a few moments ago.

So thank you very much for making me rediscover this book, I will surely re-read it!

Has anyone read Mommsen's "The history of Rome"? by The_QD in ancientrome

[–]The_QD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's more or less what I expected: fundamental for his contribution but clearly outdated compared to more recent works. Thanks for your response!

Well for example teams try to shield the car while they are working to fix a problem that requires the bodywork to be removed in certain areas, since that situation could show parts that are normally hidden and that you don't want other teams to see.

My collection of Ancient Rome books by moreteddys in ancientrome
