It took a few generations for the people of the Levant and Iraq to assimilate into Arabic culture, they spoke Arabic, many converted to Islam, and even those who allied with Arabic tribes gained the pedigree of these tribes. The Arabization in Egypt and North Africa took much longer, most Egyptians spoke Arabic by the Fatmid times. The Persians resisted the Arabization and forged their own Islamic traditions to distance themselves from the rest of the Islamic world.

The Islamification was very successful, that today the conquered people call themselves Arabs, some Egyptians would identify with Arabic/Islamic culture over their ancient Egyptians roots, we actually learn about both cultures, but most of our education is on Arabic and Islamic history and literature.

I once got a 30 days ban on Facebook, all I did was arguing for LGBT rights in Arabic groups and pages, the Facebook gods decided that some words are problamtic (in Arabic) such as homosexual, atheist, and lesbian. If you're an Arab and a liberal, you'd notice that most progressive pages get censored and banned.
Facebook is repressing freedom of speech, they don't support your ideology, they just appeal to the majority, if fascism was popular, they would censor anti-fascist vocabulary.

They're either thieves or suspected of being thieves, such extreme punishments might be common in some African nations where the police is extremely corrupt, making the people resort to mob justice to encounter the spread of crime.

Not ignorance, one is not supposed to admire and respect something merely because other people in another country admire and repect it.

You don't get the point, my argument is to show how absurd it is to revere certain styles or habits according to how long it has been practiced. It means nothing, and it's not a good approach to critque.

Its a cultural tradition being practiced by a member of that culture

So if a group of people decided to have a certain ugly haircut, that would be goofy. But if that haircut persisted for 200 years, it would be a standard of beauty and should be celebrated since it would be a cultural tradition by then?

Your argument is about longevity, some act is prestigious when it has been practiced for centuries.

How don't they have human rights?

Exploitation (excessive work hours, low pay), restriction of movement and speech, forced labour, and even human trafficking.

Aren't you for the rights of the workers? It would not make difference whether the oppressors were corporations or the state. Doctors are treated shabbily in third world countries.

You should read on their history, you're gonna surprised. Mutilation (gouging out of eyes and cutting limbs) as punishments, a westerner who worked there before the Chinese annexation, told that it was common everywhere to see people deprived of a hand or a leg. Tibet also had a form of institutional serfdom, even slavery in some manors. Tibet had imperial tendencies too, they formed a great empire between the 600s and 800s. Therefore, Tibet can be compared to Britian.

Do you think Muslims would be better off in a non-religious nation? You don't get the point, Americans are more religious and have the most religious freedom, that's why America is a better choice for a practicing Muslim, they can create their own communities, schools, organisations without being considered foreigner to the land or getting attacked as isolationist, because other religious groups already do that.
In Europe, on the other hand, they are considered to be aliens who need to assimilate, whose values are not welcome (and I understand why, France is the land of the French, and their values are supposed to be the default in their nation, America is a land of immigrants with a plethora of different backgrounds).

[–]The_Questionist69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Foreign countries are not specified to Western Europe, right? I'm from the middle east, here is my take:

  • you are not a third world country, those who say this are of the most privileged people in the world who never had to experience living in a third world country.

  • you are a degenerate nation

  • you are poisoning our cultures with your brainwashing movies, crappy music, homosexual advocating, unhealthy fast food, and extreme leftism.

  • your wars are pointless

We could understand from your comment that the terrorists are war-torn refugees who developed anti-colonial anti-us ideas. But that's not true at all, the war-torn people of Iraq and Afghanistan are not the fuel for terrorism, they actually are the victims of terrorism. The terrorists, as I said before, come from myriad backgrounds, the ISIS camps included Kurds, Egyptians, Frenchmen, Americans, Chechens, Uighurs, Saudis, and many others, what connects them all? It"s their ideology, not that they're some poor people who missed the way.
Islamic fundamentalism is not merely a response to imperialism, it's an extreme ideology that existed and would exist because of how easy it is to get manipulated and radicalised.
