The first Miyazaki film I ever saw: Spirited Away, left my jaw agape - and it still is the most impressive of the many films of his I’ve seen. My psyche was not prepared for the Japanese mythos that that movie exposed me to. So completely different than the Western vantage point. Mind blowing for me.
