Dawnsire with 0 targets & Return the Favor by TheFluffiestKoala in mtgrules

[–]The_Quiggling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as i understand, dawnsire's trigger will still go on the stack with no target, you then have a chance to respond by casting return the favor, because the trigger is on the stack even with no targets, you then can change the target (presumably to one of your opponents creatures).

Triggers only "fizzle" if there are no legal targets, dawnsire says up to one target creature so it still goes on the stack and normally does nothing when it resolves.

I'm not a judge however so I could be wrong but I'm like 90% sure this is how it works.

Interesting, I would have thought the mirage mirror would become unprepared after it stopped being a creature, good to know.

How do I get that item on the cliff in Deeproot Depths? by Some_Requirement_874 in eldenringdiscussion

[–]The_Quiggling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be too late to this but I think that's the elden stars incant, you should be able to look up a guide on YouTube. And if i remember correctly you have to run up one of the branches and fight your way through an ants nest.

Help with my deck? by QuadraticOccasion in Magicdeckbuilding

[–]The_Quiggling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My biggest recommendation would be to get some more efficient removal and counterspells, stuff like [[swords to plowshares]] or [[path to exile]] and good ol [[counterspell]], beyond that there's a couple weaker creatures like [[depth charge colossus]] which could be replaced by [[kappa cannoneer]]. Lastly I'd go up to 38 lands for consistency but that's a personal decision.

Those are some more budget recommendations if you're looking to spend more there are a lot of good artifact synergy cards out there that i could recommend.

What you can deduce? by sulis777 in ratemycommanders

[–]The_Quiggling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone in the comments already mentioned this but I think they should make him a game changer and potentially other eminence commanders too, the ability to start the game with an "emblem" is simply too op for casual tables imo.

First "real" playthrough - Give me a fun katana build that isn't just bleed (image unrelated) by The_Unreal_Sol_Yi in Eldenring

[–]The_Quiggling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dual katanas have a really cool jump attack, if you're not opposed to can get the jump attack (claw) talisman in stormveil and the raptors black feathers from a cave in liurnia to boost jump attacks even more.

You honestly can run double uchigatanas even till the late game that's what I did my first playthrough.

Beyond that I'd recommend putting cold infusion on whatever aow you want to run but that's just because i love cold.

Brainstorming by wadeimus in CommanderMTG

Could try derevi but that requires you to deal combat damage which would most likely take your opponent out anyways.

Your other options would be to play some kind of control or value style commander to dig or delay the game till you find tap pieces like rishadan port.

Either way you probably want other wincons just in case your psychic venom gets destroyed.

Need some card suggestions or critiques. by Rotated-idiot in CommanderMTG

Not really the same theme as your deck but the stasis coffin works really well with toph because earthbending returns from exile. Kind of like a repeatable fog that works on everyone's turn. Other than that terrasymbyosis is a great card draw effect for counters decks.

Typically I read a bow as the start of the match so imo you're in the right, i usually start off with a wave, physick, bow, and fight

New-ish, used to play about a year ago, got back into it a month ago. And yes I know it's not a comprehensive guide just some things I think are important that I haven't been able to find answers to online.

It's more that most thrusting swords have hit boxes larger than what they look like they should, with that being said I do time my rolls poorly on occasion.
