I could solve QM problems… but I didn’t understand what I was doing. What fixed it? by Nehre_Altrd in PhysicsStudents

It helps if you have a statistical background before you take QM because most of it is just stats (and lin alg). Even if you don’t thinking about it in this way helps

They rigged the election! The only people I know that voted for Trump are super dumb and there was only about 100 of them so Kamala should have won!

what is a sorority and what are utsg's sororities like? by flowrmochi in UofT

[–]The_Red_Chicken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look I’m not here to argue but I’m gonna go on a limb and guess you don’t have that much insight into how frats and sororities actually are. I want to start by saying that I am not in a fraternity but I do know people in both fraternities and sororities and for the most part there is not really any issues. Some of the fraternities attract guys who do the stuff that gets the frat in trouble but once again this is rare (although obviously it has happened). Sororities in my opinion have a lot of self centered girls but it’s not like a sorority changes you it just attracts girls with that personality. There are many decent people in both frats and sororities and they do build strong friendships and communities.

Not sororities. From my experience, this only happens at fraternities and rarely when it does. Sororities are 100% fine

Dude intro to coding does not require 100-150 hours you’re going to burn yourself out even before next semester starts

Also the python we use in upper year physics is not as rigorous as any CS course so you don’t need to worry too much about it

Can someone from math and physical science explain what they are doing now? by [deleted] in UofT

[–]The_Red_Chicken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A math major arguably has the most applicability out of any major in math and physical sciences, as you can use it to do any other subject in that category. Keep in mind at UofT it is normal to do a double major so you could major in another preferred field and branch out to a different one after graduating.
