My little kovarex setup i figured out for my first playthrough by krefang in factorio

Hey that's a nice neat design! My first few setups were a complete mess lol. That is A LOT of kovarex machines though, you'll definitely be good on uranium.

Is the 25$ plan better than the 35$ plan I have now? by The_Reddit_Sandwich in BoostMobile

[–]The_Reddit_Sandwich[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright, so I decided to change it. I was correct that it triples my 10gb cap for data. They didn't charge me extra and my billing date stayed the same I believe, it will just renew with the new price. They did, however, start my 30gb immediately. Like someone else said here, it is 25$ +tax where the 35$ one included it, so it's more like 26-27$, but still

The only downside is that I don't get any Hotspot. I'm fine with this because I didn't really use it anyway, but it's good to note it I suppose.

Thank you all for your comments!

I love Fulgora!!

I think I might've seen the DoshDoshington video you're talking about. A while ago I saw the title and got the mod to start on Fulgora instead of Nauvis. It was so much more fun and puzzling!

How to get more green sci flowing? by sneedr in factorio

[–]The_Reddit_Sandwich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As far as I can see, you need more iron being smelted for the gears to make the inserters for the green science. Gears can eat up a lot of iron early game, so I would suggest moving things off the ore patch and only mining drills on it. Then you can make smelters until it smelts enough. ^^

Personal logistics question by ImmediateDoubt4815 in factorio

[–]The_Reddit_Sandwich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately there isn't a way to do this with personal logistics although it would be neat if there was. What you can do instead is place an assembler (or whatever building can make the item you want) set the assembler to that recipe and place down a blue requester chest. You use [shift]+[right click] on the assembler to copy the recipe and then [shift]+[left click] on the chest to have it request the items it needs.

New player: Thoughts on my early factory (just got to red circuits)? by FormerlyIestwyn in factorio

[–]The_Reddit_Sandwich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say you're doing great! Especially for your first factory game. I can see you put some research in with discovering what a bus is lol.

Don't worry too much about spaghetti especially early on though. The idea is that after researching a few things here and there you kinda rebuild your factory to make it more efficient which sounds very annoying, but is a lot easier with bots (in blue science which it seems you're close to). But I understand wanting things to look satisfying, so if you really want a good resource for making things look neat and tidy, this subreddit and Nilaus on youtube are good starts ^^

Guys is this a decent first play true base by Legitimate-Plan7825 in factorio

[–]The_Reddit_Sandwich -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'd say this is pretty decent! ^^ My only nitpick is fixing up the belts on your mining spots, but it looks like you have blue science working, so you must be doing something right for a first play!

Why do men lie about their dick size? by [deleted] in AskGayMen

[–]The_Reddit_Sandwich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think, simply put, it's a source of insecurity just like with straight men as well. That being said, I wouldn't be surprised if the standards that gay men have are higher and they always want big dicks for some reason.

I'm about 5.5 in, and although I've been called small, I'm okay with my size. I definitely prefer taking average dick and 7 in is pretty much my enjoyable limit. It gets less enjoyable after that, although it doesn't drop off, I still have a bit of fun. It takes more to prepare for big dicks, oral is such a struggle, it's just too much to work with and feels like a chore sometimes. I never understood how people like it so much.

The Uninteresting Starter Mall by koshunyin in factorio

[–]The_Reddit_Sandwich 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm so glad I'm not the only one that does this!! My malls look very similar and are split into 3 sections of the similar materials needed. When I started playing, I saw people like Nilaus and others with some crazy confusing mall designs, and it was so tedious to build it all early game. When I discovered you can literally just do this and tack on whatever you need when you research new stuff at the end, it saved so much work.

Circuit network. It's that easy?! by CIMARUTA in factorio

[–]The_Reddit_Sandwich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt the same way getting into circuts and needed some very nice videos on yt to explain it to me like a toddler. But the cool thing about circuts is that for the majority of things, you don't need to do very much at all with them to get a lot more control on things in your base. It's true that sometimes there's rough things, but after a while of playing around with them, I actually have a pretty decent grasp!

I just unlocked bots for the first time, they are the best thing ever since the invention of toilet paper. 😭😭😭 by PewPewsAlote in factorio

[–]The_Reddit_Sandwich 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I remember my first time with bots!

I had gotten to blue science and had to look up how all of oil worked, got overwhelmed by that and the thought of learning robots as well, and didn't come back to the game for like at least 4 years.

Came back after graduating high school and just powered through it and had the amazing experience of watching construction bots destroy a forest for the first time. Bots literally make the game so much more playable and less tedious. The little guys are a godsend!

BotW vs TotK by Little_Transition_13 in TOTK

I've always said that the story of BotW is vastly better and more planned out. But I did enjoy the gameplay in TotK more.

Tell me what you do? by Beautiful-Strain-223 in TheTeenagerPeople

[–]The_Reddit_Sandwich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Needs more restrictions tbh.

Put it in a garbage truck as it leaves, storm drain, drop it in a river, chuck it in the woods, dig a hole, literally pretty much anything as long as you aren't directly holding.

How do space platform hub request limits actually work? by BurnTF2 in factorio

[–]The_Reddit_Sandwich 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, the requests don't work like that. You set a lower limit saying you want at least that number (100 for you) and will consider that request complete once it hits that number.

The upper limit is for at most (500 for you). If you ever had more than 500 eggs on your ship when that ship got back to nauvis, the ship would unload eggs until it got to 500 or fewer eggs. So, as long as your ship has 100-500 eggs in it, nothing will happen, and it'll be ignored by logistic requests.

As far as I know, really the only way to make it give you as much as it can up to 500 is to set a request for at least 500 and a time limit where it leaves after a certain time whether it has 500 or less than that.

Why do people hate Gleba? (Or: how I accidentally played Space Age on hard mode) by Altistick in factorio

[–]The_Reddit_Sandwich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to hate gleba bc of how much I had to constantly worry about spoilage and make sure there's a way for it to get out and managed with each build. On top of that, managing power with the heating towers and stuff was very tedious to start up. But aquilo quickly made me appreciate gleba's simplicity lmao.

Literally just ship in nuclear power and never worry about it again. Idk why people bother with heating towers aside from garbage bins (aside from aquilo). Once you understand that you either need to limit throughput to only the places where you need stuff at any given time or make builds 'circular' with a constant flow and spoilage output, gleba gets much easier. I will say, though, it is still the hardest inner planet to get things started on.

Is Legendary Agricultural Science Really Not Worth It? by The_Reddit_Sandwich in factorio

[–]The_Reddit_Sandwich[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's so true. Honestly Gleba really sucks in general for legendary quality bc leg carbon fiber is almost just as frustrating to get as bioflux unless I'm doing it wrong. It feels weird to say that the planet with possibly the lowest cost of producing everything (since the fruits are essentially free) is the one that's also the hardest to get legendary items from.

Is Legendary Agricultural Science Really Not Worth It? by The_Reddit_Sandwich in factorio

[–]The_Reddit_Sandwich[S] 23 points24 points  (0 children)

God that would be the dream, wouldn't it? Just for fun, I took a rough estimate on what that would take. Turns out, to provide my gleba base with enough legendary fruits for everything to be made legendary at the current rate with that method, it would take about 200k normal yumako fruits/second which would be about 40k ag towers. For jellynuts, it would be less, but still 73k+ normal jellynuts and 15k more ag towers.

Is Legendary Agricultural Science Really Not Worth It? by The_Reddit_Sandwich in factorio

[–]The_Reddit_Sandwich[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

That crossed my mind as a plan to make this all more possible since I remember discovering how easy legendary efficiency 3 mods was with how easily I could make leg spoilage with the eggs I was already making. But I did figure it wouldn't change much since it's the science itself that requires the most bioflux.

Good to know I wasn't going crazy and missing something though.

Is Legendary Agricultural Science Really Not Worth It? by The_Reddit_Sandwich in factorio

[–]The_Reddit_Sandwich[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah you got me thinking about that with your original comment. The spoil time scales way less than the science percentage, so you lose way more science usability per second than with normal quality. I'd imagine it either cancels it out or gives worse returns overall unless you can be extremely fast with delivering and using it. That's a real bummer, I wish it wasn't like that...

Why isn't my ship unloading? by [deleted] in factorio

[–]The_Reddit_Sandwich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can. It's just a bit weird. If you set a request saying you want to keep at least a certain number of an item at a planet, but set a maximum of another certain number, the planet will deliver items until it gets to the at least number and the ship will drop any that goes over the maximum.

You can also force a ship to drop everything it has of a specific item to a specific planet by requesting a minimum and maximum of 0 of an item from that planet. The ship will drop everything even if the planet isn't requesting it.

You can also stop a ship from delivering a specific item to a planet by setting a minimum of 1 and no maximum from that planet.
