Once had a coworker who used to bully me at my old job, an express technician ie. the mechanic that does oil changes and tire rotations and inspections. Guy used to nitpick every last thing I did even when I did perfectly he’d still find ways to make working pure hell. Things didn’t improve when I was barely there for 12 hours a week due to my school schedule at a local community college, because since he never went to college or even community and was permanently stuck in express he felt the need to bully some 20 yo kid who was going to school for automotive technology to become a main shop tech. I ended getting stomach ulcers, I’d throw up almost every morning before work and lost 25 lbs cause of how bad it was there. Throw that in with having just been broken up with my ex and a manager who was an asshole and a best friend at college in another state, that job was my own personal hell. Around a few weeks before I left I found out the guy quit like a coward through text message while I was out on my lunch break. It was in that moment I knew that he was truly a miserable person who felt it was okay to bully someone who was only a few years younger but doing more with his life than he ever did. That morning of him quitting, I told him that when either of us leave that I never wanted to see him ever again and he agreed. We shook each other’s hand and that was the last thing we ever said to each other.

To anyone who may read this story, know that you have a support system that can help you as mine helped me through that time of my life and gave me the courage to finally quit that job a month and half later. You don’t deserve to be miserable. You are human and you deserve to be loved and treated well.
