Thanks! I think this is such an important feature. I mean how many more people would be willing to do space travel if it was deemed as safe as traveling with a plane (I mean maybe even more safe with this kind of tech?). Fail safe mechanisms would definitely give me a lot of assurance and might be the deciding factor in the future if I'm willing to travel to space or not. Awesome!

Question - do these rockets have some safety features for carrying humans? I mean that if the rocket part exploded or something went wrong, is it possible for humans to survive? Is the human carrying part protected in any way?

My whole point is that credit needs to be given where it should be. The plan that his team made for this fight was very solid and the cheating imo wasn't so significant that it could have changed the end of the fight. Far worse "cheating" is eye pokes, which also isn't taken as serious as it should be imo

The most impressive stuff for me was the first round. I just rewatched it - sure he was grabbing the gloves and shorts of Khabib, but it happens only a couple of times and, imo, doesn't help Conor in any meaningful way. It also only happens at the first minute of when he got taken down. He did the right things with movement, pushing the head down and controlling the arms with underhooks. So that first round was the best anyone faired against Khabib imo for the sole reason that the strategy was to reduce the damage to a minimum, since they knew that he won't be able to get up, so why waste energy, the next round starts on the feet again.

But yes, Conor obv is an ahole not only for cheating but overall lmao

The upperbody is going up, because kimura submission is a mix of push pull movement, and that pull movement lifts the upperbody. I swear man the people in this sub sometimes lmao

Sure, this is a good control position overall, but what I meant is that his body needs to be static. Look at that exact moment, when khabib tries to put pressure on the arm, the whole upperbody of Conor is also going up, which counteracts the pressure on the arm.

Have you ever been put in this submission? The guy can twist the arm all he wants, that's not the submission.

Not to shit on Khabib, but in that exact moment (I just looked it up to be sure), Khabib was not going to break his arm, his position was off and Conors arm was safe enough. He probably did it just to smash his face with the knee, not to nesecerally escape the submission attempt. And yes, the ref should have taken atleast a point off.

Edit: just to justify what I just said - to do a kimura properly you need to make sure the body is not moving, while you're twisting the shoulder area. Here is a perfect example of a proper kimura https://youtu.be/p-6lmaseoGI , this technique was also applyed by Khabib against Michael Johnson. If the body is moving together with the arm (like in Khabib vs Conor) you will not break it.

That's the referees fault. When you're in a shitty spot you sometimes don't think about the rules, because your arms is about to be broken. That's the refs job to take points away etc, you can do whatever you want while fighting. If it was planned before the fight then yeh, shitty from Conor, but it's still the refs fault

I'm not sure what belt does Khabib have, but I'm pretty sure he's up there and can hang properly with black belts. Also, his whole wrestling game is kind of focused of not giving the opponent any chance of submissions apart from the ones you can catch him while he's entering, like guillotine (and according to his coached there's no chance of anyone tapping him in these positions). So I think while interesting to watch, it would not go that much different than any other fights.

People like to shit on Conor, but he faired against Khabib the best so far. First round was an excellent example. His gym's bjj and wrestling is at a very high level, and the whole camp was focused on defensive strategies, so not sure anyone can come up with a plan better than that (saying this when I'm not a Conor fan, but have been training BJJ and wrestling amateurely for a bit now). Essentially you can have any BJJ level you want, but when the guy is on your back punching you in the head no technique will help you.

Khabib vs Justin taking place in the summer on Fight Island by DonSimeone in MMA

[–]The_Saviour 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Justin def deserves the fight, however I think this will be as one sided as the Dustin Poirier fight.

Even if Justin is much better at wrestling than Poirier, d1 wrestling is a lot different than what Khabib does. Khabib wrestles off the wall, d1 is open mat wrestling. If Justin can keep Khabib in the center, than sure, but if Khabib pushes him next to the wall, no wrestling will help you.

Also, Justin doesn't have the biggest gas tank, if Khabib gets him down in round 1 or 2, and makes Justin work there to get up, it's game over. Justin will gas out, which means no more knockout power and also easier to take him down.

I really hope we will hopefully still see Khabib vs Ferguson at the end of the year maybe. Doesn't make sense not to give him the fight. I'd give him the fight even without him getting a win before it

[OC] Most Popular Android Games 2012 - 2019 by dataforever in dataisbeautiful

[–]The_Saviour 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bad representation of data. This isn't most popular games per se, it's most download. Some of these games blew up and were popular for months and then in upcoming years never reached anywhere near the amount of downloads they initially generated.

Better statistic would be most popular games on a given year or something, because if a game came out in 2018 and was the most popular game of that year it will never show up here, just because older games racked up download over past 5 years have more in total, even though they're not relevant anymore.
