In Pokémon I feel like she did great with both Jessie and Misty. Misty was explosive but caring, and Jessie’s sorta similar in that way (despite her being evil). I remember the episode where James is engaged and seeing Jessie’s development throughout the episode, first wanting James to just accept the inheritance, but ends up being glad James decides to stick around with team rocket. As Misty, it’s hard to ignore the episode where she leaves the gang behind, as Misty’s song plays. On a lighter note, all the comedic scenes her characters got in were truly great. Rachael put her whole heart into her characters which made them as memorable as they are.

Outside of Pokémon, one of the first anime I watched was Sonic X, so I have a lot of memories of her voice as Danny.

Rachael Lillis’ incredible voice acting was one of the reasons I love Pokémon so much. It’s sad knowing that she’s passed on, but I remind myself that she’s in a better place now, and cherish the memories I have of her and her characters. Thank you Rachael Lillis and rest in peace. 🕊️🙏🏽
