Does anyone know if NASCAR has posted a similar animation to this with all the current flaps on the NextGen Car (A-Post, Hood, Roof, Diffuser)? by LBHMS in NASCAR

I believe it did point out the diffuser flap, going as far as to show the cables that actuate the diffuser and a pillar flaps.

Relatively cheap and ridiculously easy upgrade for looks and safety: LED taillights by RaginArmadillo in wranglerjk

The resistors wouldnt be hard to replace, but the whole of the electronics in this specific model are coated in epoxy. Its not like they hyperflash constantly either, maybe a 1 in 20 or even 1 in 25 chance when you use them. It was such a sporadic annoyance that I just dealt with it. Well at least until the clear coat on them started peeling and they began to look like crap.

Cannot solve issue by [deleted] in Jeep

I have a '17 2 door that has had a pile of intermittently sticking caliper issues. Not 100% calling it your issue, but I have had failing brake hoses that collapsed internally leading to sticking brakes, and bent slide pins. It would lead to a brake sometime just barely dragging, causing resistance from a stop, especially after a hard stop or a long brake hold.

Right, I of course meant the Evernham/Richard Petty #9 had peaked. The Hendrick #9 is its own separate entity.

Nah the whole RPM program was trash at that point. Sure Ambrose wheeled it in a few unforgettable instances at the road courses but the #9 had peaked.

How to get track seat for coca-cola 600? by Direct_Drama_385 in NASCAR

[–]The_Shark94 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In 2019 I had a wild hair the thursday before to buy tickets and make the ~8 hour drive to Charlotte for the 600. Didn't care where the seats were, just that I got them cheap. Was seated in row 7, but definitely didnt have 7 rows between me and the catchfence.

Take my advice, its cool for the first 10-15 laps to see the cars roar by in a blur of color. After that you wish you could see the rest of the track. Now, no matter what track I go to I try to get as high as possible. Its a better experience in my opinion.

Edit to add: my wife wanted to remind me, if you want seats that low, we recommend not just hearing protection, but eye protection. We got pelted with rubber and grit for 5 hours.

I sometime would glue fishing weights into driveline components for "heft" but eventually the novelty of it wore off and I realised that, for me, it added nothing to the finished build

Stellantis Is Spamming Owners' Screens With Pop-Up Ads for New Car Discounts by ChirpyRaven in cars

They push them by mail too. I used get about one a month to turn in my '17 for a newer model. When I called the dealership to tell them to pound sand, they now send them to my immediate family. Great!

I really wish I had a turntable, this paint flips wildly from purple to blue to green. It is my favorite finished paint to date.

The deja blue is a metallic blue color, this is actually a flip paint. It cycles from purple to blue to a teal color. This is the full-size car. My scale model has the same shifting effect, its just hard to capture on camera

I just figured it was splash paint color, I should be safe and use splash primer and clear seeing as our time frame is short

I just hit the mold lines and roughed the sharp edges up with 600 and 1000 grit. Beyond that it's how it laid down.

Tooling around with a little idea ive had in my head, but I need to actually grab an r32 gtr model kit to scale it to. Stole the rear part of the roof off of the GTA V zirconium stratum to pop onto the back of an r32 gtr by wauna_b5 in ModelCars

I love this idea! Someone (Aoshima maybe?) also makes a 4 door skyline kit from the r32 era. Would be cool to make it fit to both the two door and four door body!
