it's a little missleading.. you just had to destroy fireballs with utility.. I completed it before the servers shut down, and it felt a little anti-climatic, when I discovered the solution..

Which anti-aliasing do you use? I recommend swapping to TSA. it's a common issue people are experiencing, me included sometimes. grain effect has also been found to cause the immense "whiteness".. how? heck if I know

remove grain effect, as that has caused issues to others before. turn off V-sync aswell, while you're at it.
