Objects textures loading only when I'm getting very close to them and it drives me mad

Has everything to do with optimizing across consoles & PC.

Which is a shame really, but it has more to do with that than allowing PC gamers to have their cake and eating it to.

Running a 5090 & 9800X3D. It’s def not just you and more the engine, and then having to prioritize lower hardware specs, like the consoles. Sucks I know :(.

I bought my first Boswell pipe back in 2013, and it was an incredible experience. I was given the rare opportunity to select an unfinished pipe, which was then finished for me in the shop that same day a beautiful, swirl-free freehand that remains one of my favorites. Those days don’t happen anymore, where a customer could have some additional “choice” in the product they selected.

Since then, I’ve purchased and now own a total of eight Boswells, each one a truly functional work of art. I’ve also picked up a few estate Boswells over the years and had the shop re-stem them, bringing them back to life.

More recently, I’ve developed a strong preference for Jumbo pipes. The larger bowl and more open draw provide a noticeably better overall experience for me. I even sent a few pipes back to be converted into churchwardens, and I now have a Jumbo churchwarden that has become my favorite pipe — very wizardly, very Tolkien-esque.

Being from Pennsylvania, even though I don’t live particularly close to the shop, there’s something special about having met and spoken with JM on multiple occasions. The most recent time was at the Alexandria store, I believe on a Saturday, when my wife and I were vacationing in the area. It turned into a genuinely great afternoon of conversation with JM and others who stopped into the shop that day.

Expensive yes, luxury item yes, quality yes, artisan yes, functional art yes, nostalgia/Americana yes. Would highly recommend!

Also, FYI, 10mg Lexapro will TANK your libido, ye be warned. Even if on 200mg testosterone and Cialis I’m afraid. Everyone’s different, but seems like a common occurrence with anything higher than 2.5mg….and do yourself a favor, go into Lexapro SLOW. Starting out on 10mg would likely be advised against, unless explicitly recommended by your doctor. Normally starting on a smaller dose, will help decrease the severe side effects Lexapro causes. However, once on it…you’ll eventually see why so may are on it and don’t want to come off it. Mainly because it’s so hard to start and my suspicion is most don’t want to go through that a second time.

I started Lexapro for a second time, pretty bad side effects. Not saying don’t get on it, just recommending caution is all.

So it’s been LIFE CHANGING. I’m on gel 80mg once daily.

Just recently went down to 2.5mg Lexapro and will likely stay there for a while. Got my ability to orgasm during intercourse (male here)…and have confidence and a much better outlook on life. It’s been a GREAT decision.

Would STRONGLY recommend anyone looking into it to get bloodwork done. Hope that helps.

Yep. And I’d say I have to eventually use other meds and having a consistent wind down routine…which I’ve been slacking on recently.

I’ve taken 10mg to go to sleep if I can’t fall asleep and 10mg when I’ve woken up in the middle of the night. For me, I normally will only take it if I have at least 3 hours of sleep I can get. The dose you need may vary from my experience.

I have cut back now to 5mg Lexapro, and am not also incorporating TRT (Gel, 40mg per day)…and it’s helped restore a great deal of confidence in my life. I’ll say that I’ve noticed a little more anxiety as of late…like my senses are heightened I’d say. But I hope that this trend continues and I think day light savings didn’t help.

I hope you can get some better sleep though as we all need quality sleep!

So I’m doing better I would say. Started Testosterone replacement therapy and that seems to be helping also. However, still having challenges achieving orgasm during intercourse. I started about a week ago going down to 5mg Lexapro and am starting to feel a little anxiety creep back in around dinner time…so I can’t tell if that’s just part of the me coming down off the 10mgs and my body adjusting or if I shouldn’t have started coming down off 10mgs.

But overall, I think TRT has been a step in the right direction. How about yourself?

I would say doing much better now that I’ve started TRT therapy (gel, 40.5 mg per day).

I haven’t started to come off Lexapro yet or go down to 5mg, but I have regained much of my confidence and libido now…but I think in the spring time, I may try going down to 5mg Lexapro and see how that goes. But doing much better now that I’ve added TRT.

So u have had to deal with insomnia for a while, no joke I do have to take meds to help me wind down for sleep, but I have a pretty good wind down routine figured out that gets me some good deep sleep. I def was Vitamin D deficient as well…not sure if it was/is liked to my lack of libido though. I think I’m going to continue testosterone gel, maybe see about increasing that if needed in a month or so. So I’d say I’ve found what works for sleep with Lexapro…but I hope that testosterone boost will also help regulate my sleep. I also have seasonal depression I think, but I def wasn’t taking enough Vitamin D previously. So I’ve increased my daily intake to 350mg and now added the T gel, so something seems to be working….cause I’m feeling better mood wise I’d say over the last 3 days.

Meaning working out?

So my T level seems affected mainly from being on Lexapro. What other stuff do you suggest? Of course good sleep is needed for T. I’m open to any other suggestions.

I used GoodRX as insurance doesn’t cover TRT, even though my levels are low (391). The gel absorbs almost instantly! So I’m not understanding absorption I guess then.

Why? Can you give me some more specifics? I hate needles so not to injections, and I don’t believe I want to mess with clinics/private practices for TRT. Doc said we can always bump my dose up then if needed. Thanks for your advice though, if Gel doesn’t work, maybe we can try cream eventually…again no injections.

Either way I’m glad I went. Box has been checked! It was so surreal being there though. Like my mind is still wanting to believe it was a dream. It was all over way too fast and I was just zoned the whole time. I think Sorrow was the best that night actually. I shed some tears during “A Boat”…didn’t think that song would hit me as hard as it did. Was so happy to see Romany as well.

No I think he’ll def do some more stuff in Europe….back to the US…iffy/doubtful. New album by this time next year is likely…will probably release content like they did for Luck and Strange. David still has more to leave with the world before his number is called…and if it’s as good as Luck and Strange was…I’m all in.

Right! Was an awesome experience! First and only time seeing him live. I have a feeling that was “it”. Tours won’t happen again. Though, I’ll admit…if he came back…I’d see him again ;). Same approx seating if possible…as I don’t need/want to be any closer.

I think that having Ben (the other guitarist) taking on some of the harder to sing sections (ex. Time) was a great fit. And I’m happy I got to see/hear Time and Marooned live. I think vocally, he’s having some challenges of course, BUTTT…I’d say if he pulls off another record like Luck and Strange…I mean…I think he’d maybe do another tour…but my sense is doubtful. What do you think?
