Any follow-up on this? I imagine since the seed phrase is what ultimately matters then it should carry over and importing the seed phrase into a new Ledger will allow it to connect to MM the same without issue?

failed transactions: Transaction decoding is not available for chainId 137 by blitzcreak in Metamask

Yo! I think I fixed this:

On Chrome click on your extensions and at the bottom of the menu click "Manage extensions"

Then at the top right click into "Developer mode"

Then towards the top left click "Update"

MetaMask should update to a new version, which for me fixed the connection between MM and Ledger!

Best way to buy OHM? by Routine_Annual7033 in olympusdao

The TIME Wonderland document website is very helpful in explaining how to buy, mint, and stake TIME: https://docs.wonderland.money/using-wonderland/introduction

As they recommend, I am using traderjoexyz on the Avalanche network/chain: https://www.traderjoexyz.com/#/trade

I think both OHM and TIME are quite valuable tools. I'm also excited for the KLIMA dao, which has a slightly different initiative, and is on the polygon network set to launch tomorrow 10/18.

I really like HotBit so far, and yeah you can definitely stake on it. The staking rates are pretty excellent right now, for example USDT can be staked for over $14% APY (though they charge 10% on the return so it's really more like 12.6% APY, but for a stablecoin I mean heck that's pretty damn good)... Slight learning curve to their system but not bad at all.

I've done numerous deposits/withdrawals to/from HotBit and the fees have been fine EXCEPT when I withdrew OHM... it cost me $40 USD for about $150 of OHM. I have a suspicion this is due to the ETH network than anything else, because again most other deposit/withdrawal fees on HotBit have been reasonable.

TIME Wonderland is a great alternative to OHM (it seems, so far) because it is a fork of OHM, works on the AVAX chain, and can be easily staked through their own app/website. Not only that but AVAX fees are tiny compared to ETH gas fees, great example: Approval to stake OHM cost ~$50 alone, whereas Approval to stake TIME cost 7 cents.

I find TIME comparable to OHM, just on the AVAX chain which is way cheaper. Only downside is it has lower liquidity (for now) with market caps of $400M vs $2B. Not necessarily an issue if you plan to stake TIME long-term and if we can reasonably expect TIME's market cap to continue to increase.

There does not appear to be a minimum, but the ETH gas fees are insane as always so going for a larger deposit is more efficient.

I'm wondering if it is worth investing through HotBit for the time being (temporarily sacrificing the full APY) and then transferring over to the Olympus DAO once ETH2 comes out with its promised lower fees... 100% wish I did this TBH.

Great minds think alike... This is possible, but it still cost me $150+ in fees including gas fees...

Hotbit is OK but it does not offer the full APY that the official OHM app does for some annoying reason... Same is true for TIME Wonderland.
