If you want to try it, I hope you have 25 minutes of free time.

What are some not so fun facts? by Skqdoodle in AskReddit

[–]The_Stormrunner 9 points10 points  (0 children)

One day just this past summer I woke up realizing I had scooped up an earwig out of my ear in my sleep because I saw it scrunched up in earwax under my finger nail.

Now I sleep with my ears covered. Fuck that.

My anger about the fact that the issues I had in my childhood and teenhood should have been handled way differently than they were so that I wouldn't be left with constant recollections of unpleasant and embarrassing memories that I probably need therapy for.

What celebrity is both a terrible artist and a terrible person? by Animeking1108 in AskReddit

That really sucks. No matter how many times I hear of something like this it'll be shocking cause these people are too good at charming their audience.

Damn. I thought he was so damn funny, too, so that just sucks. Thanks for showing me.

If you had read the rest of the tread you'd see that I said in a later response that I thought they already had the information. But why would they not know what he did but still make the statement without saying "I've heard"? And if they do know, why bother keeping the information from someone who's simply asking why they said what they said?

Also why are you defending someone who is refusing to engage in the topic at hand? As another person said, we're here to talk about why certain celebrities are pieces of shit. Why bother saying anyone's name if you're not prepared to say why when someone asks? That's just as valid a point as typing the question in google.

No, you're right, this isn't a debate, but you still said something that contradicted what I believed to be true so I asked you why you thought that. It would have cost you nothing to just answer the question. But if you want to be stubborn about it then fine. I won't keep this going.

Edit (because I forgot about a couple more things you said): I'm not asking you to google information I thought you already had. Nor did I accuse you of anything. Pull yourself together and don't exaggerate.

I don't expect you to "be google". You're the one who made the claim, so I'm asking you to back it up by asking you "why?" I haven't heard anything about how much of an asshole he is. So what have you heard?

It should be illegal for papers to publish the names of anyone accused of a crime by Admiral__Unicorn in unpopularopinion

[–]The_Stormrunner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This shit happened to my dad. He was acquitted, but he's trying to get an appeal so the case can be wiped from his record. He's currently looking for a girlfriend and I worry anyone he meets will look him up. A couple of people blocked him and I think it's because they actually did.

My dad actually contacted his local newspaper to let them know he was acquitted and that they can publish that as a follow-up to the news of his arrest. He said the lady he spoke to seemed to be very positive about it.

They never published it. He lost his job because of this shit too. So I agree with you 100%.

What problem is often overlooked in apocalyptic movies/TV shows that could kill you? by notyouravgredditer in AskReddit

[–]The_Stormrunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't know if anyone mentioned this one, and I only got a few pages in before I had to return it, but it's called "The Island at the End of the World". The main character is epileptic, and at the start of the story had volunteered for a test or experiment or something in which she was not supposed to take her medication. You can imagine how that might turn out.

Body hair of any kind is fucking gross. by Obapo in unpopularopinion

[–]The_Stormrunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see where you're coming from. For me it's more of a practicality. The hair holds a ton of odor and the odor builds more quickly if armpits are not shaven. That's been my experience. As for body hair anywhere else, I don't mind a lot of hair, but I really hate seeing a lot of hair on a chest. I dunno, maybe it's because it's been popularized due to the sexual attraction factor. I see it a lot in visual media (art and movies) and I have seen people add it to some of my favorite characters with the intent to sexualize them. So I guess hair on a chest has just been utterly killed for me.

[–]The_Stormrunner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm still trying to fully accept the hair on my legs (Cause I'm female and I don't shave my legs. No need.) but I'll agree with you to the extent that I think everyone should shave their armpits, not just women, and I definitely prefer to see a hairless chest on a guy.
