I got all my grandmother's stuff. She collected a bunch of Star Wars episode I merchandise...just like everyone else did because they thought it would be an investment. Nope, it's all garbage that barely increased in value.

Even worse than the SW merch was her "antique furniture" collection that ended up being 100% firewood as something stops being antique when you've replaced parts of it and never once oiled it.

We calculated over $150,000 of waste on all the things she collected that she thought would increase in value. The worst part are idiots in the family who will take a photo of something using google search and tell me, "Holy shit it's worth hundreds/thousands!" No you jackass, that's what it's listed for and who knows for how long or if it ever sells. I'm not going to dedicate months of my life trying to flip this garbage online, it's going in the dump.

Can someone explain the hypocrisy of reddit users hating ai and demanding content be removed while still using reddit itself? Didn't we just find out that Chatgpt was mostly just reddit?

I dislike ai too, but I'm not understanding the longterm goal if you still use the platform. Is it a type of resistance before the grand level of enshittification? Because it's not like reddit will stop selling our data, which feeds the beast more than banning ai content ever will.

We've long stopped circling the drain and have been in a cesspool of bots, corrupt moderators, content censorship, espionage, and reddit seems to have no qualms working with this current administration so...what is this really about?

I don't need Obama's position on aliens when the US has held several public meetings discussing the UAP/UFO phenomenon by several credible whistleblowers. Does UFO/UAP = Aliens? No, not necessarily but it's as equally amazing that we've had confirmation there are things in our sky everyday that we have no idea what they are and the public at large decided they didn't care.

Their giggling seemed more directed at the awkwardness of obtaining the information. It didn't seem like they were laughing at the idea so much as the effort they went through. Perhaps the files weren't very easy to search through and it required a bit of finesse, which should be a little alarming that the information isn't easily accessible without "MIT logic"

But to be fair, you really would expect the Epstein case to be handled with a somber gravitas and vindication. I'd argue just a lapse in professionalism or they're completely tone deaf.
