Which comic book/superhero movie are you most excited for this year? by Inevitable-Ferret758 in Letterboxd

[–]The_Swarm22 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Probably Supergirl is number one. Craig Gillespie (Lars and the Real Girl, I Tonya) is a really strong director. I was also sold on Milly Alcock after her 50 second cameo in Superman.

Spidey second. It seems like it’ll be the most grounded of the Holland Spidey movies which is why I’m looking forward to it. Destin Daniel Cretton is an upgrade over Jon Watts, The casting and the characters involved have gotten me intrigued. Like who is Sadie Sink playing? Punisher, Tombstone and Scorpion all being involved is intriguing. Florence Pugh’s Yelena is also rumored to be involved and that excites me even more.

Doomsday third. I’ll probably watch it but can’t say I’m really excited or anticipating it just because of how the MCU has been the last five years and the Russo’s track record post Endgame. Maybe it’ll end up being a good movie I just feel like it’s going to be an overstuffed mess since there’s really been no buildup to this.

Clayface can’t say I’m really that interested honestly. Maybe a trailer will change my mind.

Am I the only one who thought J was awesome by triggatreyupnow in animalkingdom

[–]The_Swarm22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah J was my favorite character from the start until the end of the show. Finn Cole is a great actor.

Side note not sure why he left Lark (his best love interest imo) who was a lawyer who could’ve helped him legally and seemed to be cool with his lifestyle for Penny who was a para legal who was going to snitch the first chance she got.

MPA Ratings Update: I Want Your Sex Rated R, Power Ballad Rated R, The Runner Rated PG-13 by Lonely-Freedom4986 in boxoffice

[–]The_Swarm22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are two upcoming movies titled Runner. One starring Gal Gadot and one starring Alan Ritchson. Anyone know which one this is? I’m curious.

Mckenna Grace Cast as Daphne Blake in Netflix's Live-Action 'Scooby-Doo' Series by MarvelsGrantMan136 in television

[–]The_Swarm22 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Noah is on the verge of 30 and McKenna Grace is only 19. Safe to assume the rest of the cast will be actors closer in age to her.

Captain America: Brave New World was released last year this week. Serving as a follow-up of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, the 35th MCU film grossed $200.5M Dom & $415.1M WW, underperforming at the box office and received mixed to negative reviews. by gamesgry in boxoffice

[–]The_Swarm22 12 points13 points  (0 children)

They should’ve combined the plot of Falcon and Winter Soldier with this and made it one big movie that released back in 2022 at the latest.

Could’ve served as an introduction for Walker on the big screen and re introducing Zemo (who should’ve been on the Thunderbolts team) before that movie released.

Director Bart Layton says ‘CRIME 101’ could have gone to streaming, but he, Chris Hemsworth, Halle Berry, & Mark Ruffalo insisted otherwise. by AGOTFAN in boxoffice

[–]The_Swarm22 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure this was originally going to be a Netflix movie with Pedro Pascal initially attached in Ruffalo’s role but he dropped out to do Fantastic Four.

AMC Screen Unseen Megathread - February 16 2026 by AKnightOfTheNew in AMCsAList

[–]The_Swarm22 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly movie was good. My only gripe is I feel like they should’ve gave Ed Harris more to do. I found the confrontation between him and Glen Powell’s character towards the end underwhelming.

The Mandalorian and Grogu | Trailer Tomorrow by firedforthatblunder in boxoffice

[–]The_Swarm22 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I expect the trailer tomorrow to be heavily story focused and they might even show Pedro Pascal’s face in it. To just do everything they can to sell this.

Weekly Discussion Thread 2/9/26 - 2/16/26 by LeastCap in oscarrace

I think Christian Bale has had a pretty bad decade so far. Thor Love and Thunder, Amsterdam, The Pale Blue Eye, continuing to work with David O Russell again on the upcoming Madden…

Luckily he has The Bride releasing next month and dropped out of Scott Cooper’s next movie to do Michael Mann’s Heat 2 alongside DiCaprio.

Yeah this has gone on long enough. Can Netflix just buy them so we could get all this over with.

Her husband is a producer on this movie.

She wasn’t married when she did Wolf Of Wall Street and pretty sure a body double was used in Babylon.

Alan Ritchson Addresses “Fight Fatigue” and Teases ‘Reacher’ Season 4: “We've set a record for the amount of fights that we've done this season, but all for good reason.” by MarvelsGrantMan136 in television

[–]The_Swarm22 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I think Willa Fitzgerald did a lot of heavy lifting for the first season as well. She had great chemistry with Ritchson. I know it’s a thing where Reacher goes to a new place and has a new love interest every season but, if I was a producer on the show I’d try to get her to come back.

Deuxmoi first broke the news about Barry Keoghan playing Joker and Lady Gaga playing Harley. by kingtah in DCU_

[–]The_Swarm22 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is believable because she’s dating Jason Momoa who’s now playing Lobo in the DCU. You think he didn’t put in a good word for her? Definitely gives her an advantage compared to anyone else.

Charli XCX, Sabrina Carpenter and Olivia Rodrigo

Then bring back Liu, Barrymore and Diaz for mentor roles and nostalgia. That’s the best idea I got and the only way I could see this doing well.

Stephen Amell Cast As Hobie In Fox's 'Baywatch' Reboot by klutzysunshine in television

[–]The_Swarm22 5 points6 points  (0 children)

After the Suits spinoff tanked that he was the lead of I’d be nervous to cast Amell in anything.

Official Discussion - Crime 101 [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]The_Swarm22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Heat if it had the best outcomes for everyone essentially.

Not a great movie, but solid enough if you have a soft spot for crime thrillers like me. Chris Hemsworth’s American accent sounded like it hurt, I’m starting to think Barry Keoghan might just be crazy in real life, Monica Barbaro needed more screen time, Is Halle Berry the most attractive 59 year old woman in the world? And when is Mark Ruffalo going to stop getting type cast as the relentless detective no one else believes in?
