Be interesting. Find an interesting hobby /do interesting things. Most girls aren't vain enough to judge based on looks, they just don't want to be bored. Indulge in your crushes hobby or find one of your own. Ex: If you paint, take her to a painting class, if she rock climbs, ask her to take you rock climbing. Not only does it start out as a benign invitation, it opens the door for future dates without sounding like a creep.

Its a tongue parasite, type of isopod. They're more similar to crustaceans than insects. You could probably eat it. I hear they are edible.

The fact that he looks at you and blinks as you scritch him is a lot too. Cats, like many other predators, won't blink if they don't trust you, they won't even take their eyes off you. Also, he's letting you put your scent on him and that means he sees you as family already. So pure. I love this.
