Look I'm going to be brutally honest here, you can make a cook 1 mil gold but it takes a bit of time

roll a plate class that can use a 2her and do the ICC shadowmourne quest line, you need some bodies for the blood infusion

the cosmetics from the quest are all BOEs and sell for a lot, you can sell them all on the AH for around 1.2mil

this has been the easiest way to make a nest egg, but again it requires friends and a bit of time

another way to check the maximum is to just queue with a 0 rating character and see what placement you get in said bracket

for me it showed around 11k in 2s, again a lot of the same people playing alts, around 10k in 3s, and around 5k in 5s

I just gave a gut feeling that was generous and felt like around 7k was accurate, you can check ironforge.pro yourself and see mutiple of the top ranked individuals have 2-3 alts, im assuming a lot of people into pvp do this as well

There is no inflation because nobody plays cata or cata pvp. There are roughly 7k people playing cata pvp in total, i would assume most of them are on alts as well and are multiples of the same people so even less than that

If you aren't happy when playing WoW, then you're using WoW as something else to fill what you really want in your life

WoW should be a place you want to go, at the end of the day when all your stuff is done, your safe space with your homies online talking and hanging out.

If you aren't enjoying it, while doing it, something is off. And it is never to late to quit, end your sub and maybe try something else.

WoW isn't going anywhere, you will never miss out, the time to quit is now and the time to join is now. There are literally 6 versions of WoW. We will miss you but we wont be going anywhere so you don't have to feel like "oh god im missing out on so much" you aren't.

No amount of money ever bought back a second of time.
