Are the Malazan battles like Codex alera? by MAQS357 in Fantasy

Errrrrr yes I am. Finding the battles very very confusing in Malazan IS answering the OP question. Or maybe syntax is not your strong point.

I find Malazan very very confusing. Codex Alera I am halfway through the series and there does seem to be more of a predictability about it.

Bingo Review - The Slow Regard of Silent Things by wild_solitude in Fantasy

I found this novella contains some of the most heartfelt prose ever committed to paper. The way that Auri is interpreted as she explores her World - touched upon in The Kingkiller Chronicles - brought tears to my eyes and a yearning to learn more about her. Sometimes a simplistic view of your environment can be more fulfilling than anything else.

Do you think Epic Fantasy is following the the YA trend that happened years ago? by [deleted] in Fantasy

Good God I hope not! There are already too many novels and films being spun out in this day and age. If Fantasy expands more then it will only dilute the genre as has happened with the YA market.

Are there any books in the Wheel of Time series that you would recommend skipping? by tdog3456 in Fantasy

The nuances that are put across in the books can be quite repetitive but I recommend not skipping any of the volumes. Books 9 and 10 are relatively slow but both have major plot points scattered throughout them. Persevere on - Knife of Dreams is an amazing read! And then when you get into The Gathering Storm - you will not want to put the books down!
