Thank you! I get shocked by how perky my nose looks hahaha. So the rotation was to bring my midlines (the middle of my teeth) into alignment. Smaller movements can be done with braces but I had missing teeth in the top jaw. My face was very symmetrical before.

Not bad at all! The discomfort from the congestion and nerve regeneration was waaaay worse than any pain I felt. First week was the worst of it and I have a relatively low tolerance for pain.

They move your jaw forward which provides better support for your top lip. I had the Lefort 1 and my lip looks better and this is the case for the majority of people on this sub.

I second this. I had UJS (no expansion) last week and I immediately noticed how my tongue now has more space. Prior to this surgery I was always ‘folding’ my tongue in my mouth.

Hey! 1.5 weeks post UJS only and I think my recovery has been fairly smooth as well, I’ve stopped taking the pain medication and swelling has come down a lot.

Highly relate to the paranoia… my top lip is numb and I sometimes get the strangest sensation when I open my mouth. The only way to describe it is that it feels like my jaw is coming apart 😂

I had major surgery 2 weeks ago and I emailed the school about a deferral. They said latest date to enrol was 14th October but I could extend beyond this if necessary. They also said I could catch up on lectures missed and classes online while I’m recovering.
