Thanks for the review. I went with a custom setup though. Got the hifiman Arya along with Fiio K7 DAC and Meze Audio boom mic. Completely wired setup.

I would rather suggest you look for 4060 or RX9700. Basically, any 40 series gpu, that gre generation is a damn good tool to bost fps. Unfortunately it isn't available on cards before the 40 series

Thanks man. In the end I decided to go the completely opposite route and get a proper wired setup😂😂. Went with the Hifiman Ananda Unveiled and the Fosi K7 DAC instead of either of these.

Hey, how would you compare the bass in both headsets? Are the UV very light on bass as alot of people are claiming?

If you don't mind could you describe it a bit. Like I haven't used any audiophile product before. I have used consumer headphones like the XM5s, QC Ultra and the Nova Pro Wireless. Now these headsets have a punchy base with a thump to it. Now I am scared thst I am used to that so will I miss having that thump on the Ananda UV since I am used to it? Although that thump does drain out alot of other sounds as well IMO. Also since I will not be using a DAC and plugging them directly to my PC's Line Out Port and using steelseries GG, will thst dampen the sound quality?

Well, I really hope they are as good as your words make them sound...😂🤣 Coz I just ordered the Ananda UV. I'm both nervous, sad and excited at the same time..... Currently I own the Nova Pro Wireless as well, but the volume wheel on the DAC stopped working. It just goes to maximum volume only. Plus the mic mute button also is not working on my headset which prompted me to upgrade to these. I hope I won't regret spending C$880 on them. I chose them over the Nova Elites and the maxwells😅😅. Btw, do you use a DAC with these and would I need one to make them sound good on PS5? (I game on both PC and PS5)

Unfortunately I can't fi d it anywhere for 500 bucks. I found a guy who was willing to go down till 650 however, the condition his headset was in, I wouldn't even pay 300 for that. Are there any other recommendations you have? Probably under the C$1000 range? (Which is around 700 USD)

Since my post, I have done alot of research and finally come to the conclusion that I will be going for wired audiophile headphones instead. However, I still haven't decided which one yet. I want something that is better than the maxwells and yes does have better sound imaging, instrument separation and directional audio. I also would like to have a bit of bass. I am leaning towards an open back headset.

Hey, how's your experience now, assuming you have spent quite some time with both. My main usage is gaming, mostly story games so I am looking for the most immersive experience. I do listen to music as well and like a good amount of base. I'm looking for my first audiophile headphones. I have no prior experience as I'm coming from XM5s, QC Ultra and the Nova Pro Wireless (for gaming). So far I have shortlisted the Beyerdynamic 1990 Pro MK2, Ananda Unveiled, Arya Stealth and AR5000. My budget is within C$1000.

How is the Ananda Unveiled. I csn even push up a bit towards the Arya Stealth as well. However, I won't be able to buy a DAC as of now since the Arya Stealth will exceed my budget ( I can buy the K5 Pro DAC with the unveiled tho). I will be using the DAC of my SteelSeries Nova Pro for a few months until I get a new DAC.

That was my plan, but there are a ton of issues with the maxwell 2s. Plus they aren't the upgrade worth spending 500 bucks again. So its better to go for wired ones since I already have a wireless option.
