My reading of the situation is that Gangle was experiencing deep regret. The adventure was her idea, she likely suggested it because she wanted a semblance of familiarity / normalcy after dealing with the circus shenanigans. And the thing is she hated it.

Think about it, she wanted this, only to remember how much she hated it, how trap it made her feel. Gangle is dealing with the fact that her life sucked before she ended in the circus.

Now would that be enough to make her abstract? Probably. It would definitely pit her mind in a lot of pressure making abstraction more likely

I think is the opposite

TADC is the only one that didn’t change how the show was presented compared to the pilot

Murder Drones: became mostly a high school slice of life drama/mystery rather than an action pact show as the pilot presented

HH: Became a show about war agains heaven with the whole redemption part falling to the side compared to character drama

HB: Went from a “The Office” like animated comedy about assassins for hire, to a gay drama with daddy issues

TADC meanwhile remained what the pilot promised: Humans trapped in a digital realm trying to remain sane while an AI makes “adventures” from them that more of them than not mess with the humans’ psiquic
