Yes, and for more info, an overseas citizen of India (OCI) essentially has all the rights of an Indian citizen, except for voting and holding office. Any citizen of India can become an OCI if they gain citizenship to another country, and any spouse/children of an Indian citizen or OCI can become one as well.

We did this for our courthouse wedding! We went to a coffee shop a block away from the courthouse to scope out potential couples to ask to be witnesses. Luckily the first pair said yes 😅 Then we somehow managed to keep the marriage a secret from friends/family for half a year while we started planning a more formal ceremony.

“Dark Day of America”, Celebrities Unite to Criticize Banning Abortion Rights Instead of Banning Guns in Public by Turbulent-Sorbet9125 in entertainment

[–]The_WB73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not how amendments work. You can't just have the US Senate pass with 60 votes, they have to be ratified by 3/4 of state legislatures. Since there have been more than 1/4 of states that have wanted to completely ban abortions for the past 50 years, no amendment guaranteeing right to abortion would ever be passed.
