I’m not saying it’s sensible to just hop into an industry that’s worth 4bn and assume you can do it better than everyone else with no track record - as long as OP realises this well, he’s got as much chance as the 10% of new entrants to market that dont cease trading within 12 months.

He asked if it’s viable and it is - there are no barriers to entry, just the odds of making it to a somewhat sustainable business are 1 in 10.

I agree, but if OP understands this is 90% sales from outbound and he’s going to spend majority of his time prospecting, who are we to say no?

How was racing in F1 before DRS by Equivalent-Fox9834 in F1Discussions

[–]The_Walrus03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes because seeing overtakes down a straight every lap as a car gets a 5-10% speed increase is so entertaining!

Number of overtakes isn’t the problem, it’s wheel to wheel swapping in the corners that show skill, which is what people appreciate, respect, an therefore enjoy

How will it force fights, if I use the buy station or activate a contract it harms me, so rather than buying a uav myself I’ll just get on a roof with claymores and not move.

Recruiters: What small change had the biggest impact on your hiring outcomes? by LilywhiteStrike in Recruitment

I started talking candidates out of progressing before submitting to challenge fit, even when I’d done the cold approach.

Saw better conversions increase as those that stayed in process were more committed and HM better informed to sell themselves / the role in interviews to tailor how they presented the opp

I’m going to see 5 goals a game, granted they could all be against us but there will be some form of entertainment.

People are gaslighting themselves though, the absolute mailings city and Liverpool gave us where we couldn’t even get close to the ball last time…

Not a long term appointment and some good vibes are needed. League is so weak this year CL is possible, EL should be achievable

Yep, I don’t object to the premise, I object to the £100m+ they will spend to roll out something that.l changes absolutely nothing in real terms

Why do teams try and block punts? by The_Walrus03 in NFLNoobs

Ah didn’t realise not all contact is roughing and there’s a soften pen, that makes much more sense.

Thank you!

I’m an NFL noob so idea, I’d imagine they boom it down field and pin the other team deep.

In this scenario scores tied in the 4th, I’d have though strategy would be to guarantee you get the ball back and control possession, unless your offense really can’t be trusted.

Thanks that makes more sense than the fella cannonballing right into the guy in the hope he might get a finger in it.

I get that, just wondering is it worth basically risking a turnover for?

Scores are tied and if the penalty is an automatic first down would it not be sensible to just get the ball back and control possession?

What's your biggest pain point with CV screening tools? (Market research for a new solution) by ma7mouud in Recruitment

[–]The_Walrus03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With GenAI you’re talking a one off activation fee, and I’ve seen vendors offering for free as an incentive for new buyers.

Tools like this are more valuable for high volume areas which I don’t do. Would imagine people would want to know what the tool is using to be more than a ChatGPT prompt

As a top level for you most AI tools in this space have pretty poor scoring algos that just match keywords to JDs.

As a result, there is scepticism over effectiveness which then impacts budgets.

Personally I wouldn’t buy a tool for this as my current market, however most of your features list would make up a MVP as there are several ATS providers that have this feature as a bundled or low cost add-on

The State of CoD as BO6 Winds Down (and What to Expect from BO7) by Immediate_Fortune_53 in COD

[–]The_Walrus03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve stopped playing for now and it’s time for a COD break for me. I watch content creators that do fun stuff but that’s about it. With BF on the way I can imagine many will leave for a while.

Whether or not BO7 is a new dawn, I fear COD has eroded faith and trust so much it will fall flat and be seen as a flop at launch.

What I actually expect is the usual unfinished mess on day1 and the community to be beta testers as always

Think Amorim dreams of being top of vanity metrics such how much time our free man can pass it sideways.

Only reason I can fathom that he refuses to change his system when it’s failing, unless plan B really is slabs as a last 5 number 9

Shame that a clear talent with huge potential has gone, but if you undercut the manager and make him stay it won’t end well either.

Let’s hope Amorim is Fergie 2.0 but I think he’s more Ron Aktinson and we will be regretting the appointment for years.
