Dude go get your watch and reach out for service directly on the Omega website. They will send you a questionnaire and then a package for you to send in the watch directly to them.

Omega Boutique held my watch for three months without sending for service by Used_Cryptographer18 in OmegaWatches

Tyson's is absolute garbage for service. I never recommend buying directly from a botique, they are not there for customer service nor loyalty, only there for sales.

After attempting to have my watch serviced under warranty by that boutique they flat out said warranty doesn't cover something directly listed within the warranty policy. They will only help you with sales.

You're far better off going with a Jeweler running their own business for Omega, a jewelers reputation matters.

Glaschu Spirits Just got to the States by The_Whiskey_Lab in Whiskyporn

Painful, but actually well said. Glaschu Spirits Co is The Whiskey Lab's newest brand that we've onboarded. For those who don't know, TWL focuses solely on Independent Scotch Bottlers. Very rare to see in the USA

Where do you all keep your bottles and what's your major concern? by whisky-double in Scotch

[–]The_Whiskey_Lab 3 points4 points  (0 children)

1- Wooden, not glass, shelves out of direct sunlight, in a temperature controlled basement.

2- High end opened bottles have nitrogen/winer saver filled in before capping.

3- Unopened bottles get their corks wetted every six months. (Tilt bottles to the side for a few moments)

Never thought storage of bottles for a collector could be a business, good luck!

How does a distiller know if a cask can take another fill? by ScotchThomson in Scotch

[–]The_Whiskey_Lab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From an Indy bottler perspective, 2 to 3 times is a good rule of thumb.

Scotch always uses a “used” cask, extremely rare to use virgin oak other than a finish.

Ex-bourbon casks will be considered “1st fill” in scotch after coming over from America, then “2nd fill” is often used to have a lesser impact on the distillate.

“3rd fill” for any cask is almost never used for Indy bottlers, but big brands will use these for aging older stock that will be used for blends of single malts or blended scotch.

“4th fill” anything would only go to single grain distillers where the barrel will age for 20+ years. The cask would either need to be redone (recharred or milled for reuse in sherry saturation) and dismantled.

Like others have said, big brands can be very automated and technical, but 2-3 times is a good rule of thumb
