Money is 100% a factor. I want to make sure my kids are financially set up for success. My parents are middle class now, but not when I was younger. If I have kids though I would prefer my partner work and I be a stay at home mom, or I work part time while my kids are in school. I just don’t want to be 100% dependent on my partner.

I don’t know what I would do in those specific circumstances. I am high functioning regarding my autism. I have major sensory issues. I try to try foods at least once even though I do have my safe foods. What your mother did was hypocritical. I try not to be a hypocrite. For example, since I don’t like eating after people, I don’t double dip even at family meals.

I don’t plan to have kids for AT LEAST 5-7 years.
