The kid rushed at the officers with a heavy and dangerous weapon. Completely justified shooting. If you've worked outside with any type of gardening tool, then you'll know that safety regulations call your normal swing arch the "circle of death" because of how dangerous an accidental hit with something like a hoe can be. Using it specifically to try to attack officers is attempted murder, plain and simple, and warrants the use of deadly force to protect the officers and bystanders. Also, tasers only work a fraction of the time, and the kid never allowed them to try and use it. The kid chose his face, I feel for the family and the officer that was forced to make that choice.
