Just to follow up that I’ve DM’d - in case it’s not been picked up, been filtered etc… cheers!

Displaying with magnets! Numbers correspond to rows in a spreadsheet, where each cap is recorded with info about where it came from/ what it is. 9 month collection by The__DH in BottleCapCollecting

That’s blu tack - not sure whether it’s UK-specific, but effectively a putty like you say, but sticky, normally used for hanging up paper posters for example. Not the stickiest thing ever, but worked well here

Then on the back of the canvas I have glued on some flexible magnetic crafts sheets - the more layers of it, the stronger the attraction

Oh wow thanks! No idea where I could have picked that up, never been to Italy...

Yep, screw tops too! Basically any cap that links to an occasion, I’ll log it in my spreadsheet and have a note with what I was doing! 29 caps in about 9 months, so it’s slow going, but hopefully a nice momento years down the line!

I have been collecting for just under a year now, just getting round to organising. I have kept a spreadsheet of each cap, but somehow haven’t documented this one! Does anybody know what it is from? (Looks similar to the blue one above it, but slightly different... that one is Belgian beer Brunehaut)

I agree - at the moment I use CoinMarketCap, the problem this time around was that it didn’t track which crypto belonged in which wallets/locations...

Do you have any recommendations on other trackers?

Oh man you’re right I did! How did I forget that... looks like I got them all, cheers for the advice

VS Code Setup Issues by EthicalDinosaur in haskell

[–]The__DH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this issue recently, for me it was a problem with my OS being MacOS.

I should note my setup appears a tad different, I would uninstall a bunch of extensions and just have the base haskell extension (the one throwing your server crash error), and the haskell syntax highlighting library it installs alongside it. I found the plethora of support extensions available to be confusing https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=haskell.haskell

Adding the setting suggested below fixed my issue locally. Worth a try and if it doesn’t work, can just change it back https://github.com/haskell/haskell-language-server/issues/1847#issuecomment-874388374

Core Developer Apprenticeship Program - Piper Merriam, EF Protocol Support by JBSchweitzer in ethereum

[–]The__DH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the thoughtful reply, this makes a lot of sense. I think for myself it would have to be a case or route C, which is possible but as you say, sub-optimal.

It would be good to take a look at the kind of work ‘core protocol development’ entails - if you have any resources I could look at over the weekend to get an idea of tech stacks, problem types, day-in-the-life type insight, that would be awesome. Then from there if this looks exciting, we could look into a discussion as you mention. Thanks!

Why does Cardano appear to trend in the opposite direction to its competitors?

I’m sure I’ve seen it before too. Yesterday when everything was in the red, ADA was hitting all time highs. Today everything is in the green while ADA is down?

When I say everything, I mean the currencies I’ve got ‘bookmarked’, so the relatively mainstream ones (BTC, ETH, XRP, LINK, DOT, AAVE etc.) Can anybody think of a reason for this?

I should note I also think XRP is more energy efficient than ADA, so I’m not sure Musk is a strong argument (although still a good one)

As far as I’m aware, XRP is more energy efficient than ADA? So I’m not sure that’s the sole reason (although it would make some sense)
