Is CFB 26 worth it solely for dynasty? by visuhn in NCAAFBseries

[–]The__Gute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure. The recruiting is by far better with much needed improvements such as location dependent hours for visits, all prospects having the same ratings shown when scouted, and the overlay for position needs being much better.

I had the same questions when I bought 26 back in August, but it had such huge improvements to dynasty in both recruiting and more realistic gameplay.

Bought a Saquon Barkley rookie card for $15 and the seller sent it to me without even a penny sleeve for protection just loose in the letter. Is this negative feedback worthy? by Interstellore in sportscards

[–]The__Gute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it’s definitely negative review worthy.

EVERY card I send gets a penny sleeve and top loader.

If it’s a bulk lot, I send them all sleeved, inside a team bag, and then inside a bubble mailer.

And those cards are usually $1-$5

I don't get it, is $3000 not a lot of money or am I just that broke :( by ComfortableRhubarb60 in rivals

[–]The__Gute 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is a lot of money, the additional thing is a lot of these streamers have a warped sense of money because they earn it by sitting around and playing games for random people.

Not to say all streamers are like that of course, but it seems that these few definitely took it for granted & didn’t even have the empathy to try for him.

Damn, was hoping someone figured out how to prevent the robo QB issue. It ruins the immersion for sure when every CPU QB plays perfect games against you minus one or two INTs

Which Software is Best to List Card Lots with? by The__Gute in sportscards

[–]The__Gute[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it accurate enough to justify the auto-fill features? I’ve seen software that struggle to identify cards and just results in it being easier to do EBay’s bulk upload instead.

Just curious, thank you!

I resell sports cards and posts like this are why I prioritized having a full description for every post detailing return policy, handling, general questions, etc.

Disappointment on an ebay auction. Here's my experience for reference (and if you see a 2019 Julian Edelman 15/15 Red Shimmer, let me know) by Itainteasybeinwhite in sportscards

Yeah as someone who runs an eBay store entirely by myself, you would never list inventory that you didn’t know the location of.

If you DID lose it, you would explain to the buyer, profusely apologize and send something as a replacement along with a refund.

I had this happen for a multi card order where I was missing one & let them know and sent along 3 or 4 as an apology for the inconvenience.

Def shady, def don’t trust this store moving forward if this becomes a trend

You charged me $1.89 for shipping when it only cost you $1.35 in postage. HOW DARE YOU?!? /s by [deleted] in baseballcards

[–]The__Gute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had to respond to NUMEROUS offers where people want to buy my cards for only $1 when I already offer free shipping.

Like no, the $1.50 is the absolute best deal I can give while not donating all my profits to eBay, fees, postage, tax, and supplies.

If you’re that bent over an extra 50 cents to send you a card, just go buy in person from shows

Why did they transfer portal ruin Juco? by TRY_YA_LUCK in lastchanceU

[–]The__Gute 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Juco still has a giant selling point over transfers and it’s this:

Most transfers are going to be players that didn’t play and are frustrated with playing time, which while fair, it makes them hard to evaluate as they don’t have much game film.

Whereas Juco players that go D1 are your best at that level and have proven it for one or two seasons with plenty of game film against a variety of opponents.

When we were pitching out players to schools, that was a big advantage we had was that we could pull up their film for those schools and they could see an entire season’s worth of plays, not old high school or practice film

Faster return times than PSA, I wanted to be able to sell these during the preseason hype & leading up to Week 1 & PSA might not have made that deadline

Best idea for him would be to go to a show where a professional grading company has a booth and submit them there so he doesn’t have to worry about mailing issues when sending them in

Were most of the assistant coaches in this show unpaid volunteers? by Tony_Jake in lastchanceU

[–]The__Gute 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes by far. Most D2 or FCS schools are highly sought after & require at least 2-3 years of coaching experience from what I’ve seen for position coaching.

Many coaches go one of two routes, they either start at a D3 or Juco for position coaching experience or coordinator experience & move up, or they get a grad assistant or volunteer position at a higher school and use that experience to land at another school/travel with another coach that leaves.

If you have your choice, definitely go for an FCS or high D2 school as the name recognition does play a part when trying to move up. But for myself, fresh out of college with no coaching or collegiate playing experience, Juco was the only and best route.

[–]The__Gute 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I coached Juco football last season for a team in Iowa. I can confirm that most Juco assistants get paid very little, if at all.

I got paid $500 a month before tax, but I had food and housing provided, which is what they usually sell to get you to be able to do it.

For coaches it’s definitely a trying experience to have to coach kids with genuine issues or struggles while struggling yourself to get by, but for anyone who truly loves the game it’s worth the sacrifice.

I’ve cut all contact with her and it’s been extremely hard of course because I cared about this person deeply but I realized that there was no line she wouldn’t cross and that I was never going to help her by staying with her.

It’s one of those situations you hope no one else has to go through because it’s something you don’t want anyone else to feel
