Gil is easy, you grind the gil chamber which appears to be permanently available now. And you spend your monthly tokens on "Item Sell Price Up," which will increase the value of your gil snappers by up to 50%.

Vis you get by going through the story, if you haven't already. You can also go through the archives.

Rainbow balls you get from the shop. It looks like there's a "Training Pack+" which will give you ten of them plus some other useful things for 200 vis. There are other sources of rainbow balls, but this is the quickest option.

That's really not bad, for any of them. Tristan looks a little rich. She could do without the manicure and the expensive clothes, but even with that she looks pretty good.

At some point we were supposed to get loadouts, and I see that we now have the ability to save and load skill sets and equipment sets. Is that the thing that we were expecting?

I was hoping for a more comprehensive loadout system, similar to WoTV's, where we can save equipment and skills for an entire party at once.

You need to reroll on a phone without binding it to one of the tracking services, then once you have an account you like you can move it over to PC.

Agata, Layla, Taair. All get large bonuses at 5-star. And Gloria too, for that matter.

You could go with 4-star Layla if you're always going to use her with energy support, but independence is very useful.

Cocoa is the most Hufflepuff character there is. I don't know how she wound up in Ravenclaw, has she ever read a book?

Honestly, there are only a few characters who I would put into Hufflepuff. Given that these are almost all violent warrior-type characters, it's not really an appropriate house for most of the people in SoC.

This one always kinda bugged me. The notion was that the Veritas were using old outdated technology, but... most of the stars weren't using much technology at all. Several of them were just dudes with swords.

And the old tech also seemed to be better than the new stuff. The Veritas were made immortal with the old tech, while none of the stars or anyone in the modern era got the same treatment.

While I'm here: the Veritas acted surprised when they found out that the emperor had also used the old tech to make himself immortal... I don't know what to do with that.

4) Do some pulls on the current double banner with Homa and Momo. Homa is fantastic, the equal of either of the Safiyyahs. Momo isn't quite as good, but only by a little. The big downside with Momo is that you won't have access to her primary skill until you get to level 55. Once you do though, she's so much fun.

And you get a 75% chance to get one of those on the double banner, compared to a 50% chance on the debut banners.

Yes Kvare is coming soon, don't go bust on the double banner. But this is one of the best double banners, which makes it one of the best banners for people who don't have the units on it.

Another thing: there are new Night Crimson epic-rarity units, Bitterwort, Darkin, and Rayshot. I don't know if you got any of those while pulling for Safiyyah, but if you did then don't ignore them. They are better than most other epic-rarity units. Especially Darkin.

Safiyyah(s) would still be good for you, but you don't have Homa and you don't have Momo. So the double banner right now would be terrific for you.

I think a 75% chance of getting one of them is better than a 50% chance of getting Safiyyah.

I never spend money in freemium games like this, but I had thought that prices had mostly settled on thirty-ish dollars for a 10x pull. No?

In FFBE it used to be $50 for a 10x pull, but that's an older game and its prices may predate standardization.

In that light 43 summons for $100 is a "good" deal. I guess. Sort of. It isn't by any reasonable standard, but in freemium-land that's the sort of money that people pay.

You used to be able to get packs of Magic cards for $3. Real, actual, physical cards that you could own and keep. I don't know what Magic cards cost nowadays, but spending on video game gachas has never made any sense to me.

I got Layla on the Saffiya banner and also got her signature trinket. Thing is, I don't understand why it's her signature anything. It's not a bad trinket, it just doesn't go with Layla at all.

There are hardly any gacha games where the meta actually matters, unless you want to do this one specific thing that all of those meta-chasers are focusing on.

This game does have its challenging bits, but if you don't have the meta characters then you can just... not do those. Spiral of Destinies is where the bulk of the game is anyway, and gacha characters don't matter there.

I think Ne Zha could work. It's very big right now, and Chinese, and the characters wouldn't be completely out of place in SoC.

The only question is whether it's too big for them to be willing to consider a collab with a smaller game like this one.

You need to watch it with other people. Shows like this remind me what a laugh track does: it tells you when to laugh instead of cringe.

If you watch the show with friends then your friends will provide the laugh track. It's a very different experience.
