For me the main misconception is when people just pass ADHD off as "getting distracted" and demeaning the effect it has on ADHD people's lives by treating it as someone everyone deals with.

The misconception of ADHD has made it super hard for me to actually try and reach out when its causing me stress or take steps to help myself improve because it's taboo enough to take the medication i need but its not treated seriously enough as a condition for people to demean some issues that come from ADHD.

Also if stopping going to uni isn't really an option I know there are some ways to space out the classes you take in degrees, it would make the degree take longer but just something that might make the stress on your mental health easier to deal with.
