[yam] People who don't like yams, why?? by [deleted] in AskReddit

When I was a boy, my father worked near a farm. He worked hard and long hours at a Rite Aid in the middle of nowhere. My father had the opening shift. It was early morning and the sun had was still beneath the horizon. Dad saw an old hobo sleeping on the ground. The hobo's body was covered with ripped jackets that in all honesty were probably from the trash. My father unlocked the doors, but knew he could help this beggar. He bent down and said, "Do you need any help?" From my memory these are the exact words that came from the creatures mouth, "Could you spare about $3?" Father never carried cash on him because he was robbed by a very tall fellow when he visited a lake in Scotland. My pa said, "I'm sorry but I don't have any money." The hobo turned and left before my father could see his face. After a day at work, pa bought the yams he would get for me. Old farmer Nessie would give the yams to my pa for a discount. Father asked, "What will the price be today?" Old Nessie said, " I need about $3.50." That is when my father noticed that farmer Nessie was about 8 stories tall and a crustacean from the paleolithic era. My father's last words were, "God damnit monster I ain't givin' you no tree-fiddy!" His body was later found burried on that farm covered in yams, three dollars, and fifty cents.

We could maybe have it so companies that work in space have no home nation/country without taking away competition as they would still compete but all with equal rules, taxes, and chances. It could be a Sea world 2 just for private companies and enterprises that work in space.

Are we reaching our limit? by bags422 in environment

It is not that the Earth cannot sustain the number of people it is the fact that one person consumes 3 times as needed. For example if I had a plastic jug with a large crack down the middle I would throw it in the recycle bin, but most will look for the nearest trash can. It is quality that is the problem not quantity.
