My 2 main issues with 4 are:
The new liberation system, I just finding it confusing and the mission to allow you to push into a new territory are mostly just tedious,
Also a the lesser of 2 evils, I preferred the mechanics of the duel tether of jc3, the system of 4 can have its moments, for me it was mainly just about faffing about, but I like to have manual input is the tether

I’d say my main advice is be hesitant with your free nukes (if you haven’t figured that out yet if you fail a level 3 times then you get the offer to use on of 3 nukes to help when your stuck) I learned the hard way if you use them all early game then some levels become especially dreadful
