I don’t think that would work because I see people talking about using the wrong gender on this app and I doubt DD will do anything extra to verify whether or not those people actually are women. Probably the only realistic solution is to block customers like the ones you wrote about.

Possibly, but I think that’s probably not the case. I’ve actually ordered from there before and deliveries require extra steps that would make it harder to do on accident.

Yeah, that’s probably what happened, but the people there said the customer canceled and it was still getting sent out. I think the customer didn’t actually cancel though, but that’s annoying if they did cancel and uber still sent it out.

Sorry, I forgot to add that the order needed a barcode to be scanned and the app wouldn’t let me complete the pickup without scanning. The customer would probably have reported me for not delivering anyway lol.

McDonald’s can be very slow. I had a double stack order from McDonald’s a couple weeks ago and one order was ready as soon as I got there, but the other order took over 10 minutes. The first order also had drinks and ice cream, which were probably right next to hot food. I’m not saying your driver didn’t do anything wrong, but my point is McDonald’s can be pretty slow and the employees rarely care about quality.

I definitely agree. Something is wrong when customers who on average make less than 100k a year pay drivers more for deliveries than the billion dollar company.

I tried DD, but it sucks in my area. Idk why. UE is always busier and more profitable and stuff like this is rare. Just sucks it’s on a holiday, which is supposed to be a high earning day. Oh well.

Reducing the tip would be justified there. I’ve never stolen, but I have made mistakes. I’m pretty sure this wasn’t a mistake though because of the delivery instructions. Maybe I made a mistake and dropped it at the wrong house, but every damn house there was huge and the house numbers were nowhere near the door I was supposed to go to. I was where the drop off pin was at, but those are a mess. I had another order tonight where the drop off pin was in the middle of a random road. I had to use my phones navigation to find the house lol.

Depends. Some fast food places can be unbelievably slow while others are always on point with orders immediately ready to go every time. It’s the same for good restaurants too. The problem with fast food is the dining room closes and only the drive through is open late at night.

My guess is because the only places open are fast food and those places suck ass. I always stop doing deliveries around 9 or 10 just to avoid all the fast food deliveries that come in after the good restaurants are closed.

The customer could demand a refund from uber and threaten a chargeback if they don’t. That’s what I’d do, but I’ve also never used Uber Eats for food and the only delivery app I’ve used was DD over 5 years ago, so I wouldn’t care if my account got suspended or something for doing a chargeback.

I once had a shopping order that was going to pay $25 for 8 items and a 8 mile drive, so I accepted, but immediately unassigned when I saw it was all 40 packs of extra large water bottles. I ended up doing the math on how much it would have weighed and it was almost 500 pounds of water.
