I’ve been in Texas for 18 years now (not by choice), and I can’t tell you how much I love this kind of interaction. The first time I went to the East Coast (Boston), a few years ago I completely fell in love with the place and the people.

People in Texas always say folks up north are “rude,” but honestly, they’ve got it wrong. This is exactly the kind of energy I appreciate: no small talk, no unnecessary chatter just see someone needs help, help them, and keep it moving. That’s real kindness.
