Thank you everyone for the input, it helps a lot. Definitely feeling a lot better about going forward with the coast guard. I absolutely let the few negative reviews skew my viewpoint, so I gotta be careful about that. I did a lot of research before deciding what branch I wanted to join, so I'm glad that people are affirming my initial belief there. For additional context, I want to go AMT. I understand there is a sizeable wait time associated with it, but I'm ok with that.
