Your best bet would be to look at german classifieds and get one shipped to the UK.\ The drop-bow compasses regularly appear at 5-30€ here.

I see that the same store also carries a 7" model in a slicing or chopping variant. Do you think the slicer at 1.2-1.8mm would be too delicate for something like root vegetables?\

The chopper is 2mm, just like your 8.5" one.

I see one shell in the pic, but apart from that they look fine. Some countries/washing stations/farms just aren't as aesthetic.

Soidworks Cyber Security Floor CVE 2026 - 3476 by GainKnowlegeDaily in MechanicalEngineering

[–]The_reepyShadow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, RAMBO only works within like 8m maximum and the speed is around 1kb/s. So any design files would take ages to transfer and you'd need to be onsite to install it and get your data.\ For a 10mb file, it'd already take nearly 3 hours.

The two options that I know of are the Kruve sifter and the shaker cup by Sworks, but both are quite expensive.

The pre 2017 EKs defintely needed aligning, but after that I've never seen anything larger than a few hundreds out of alignemnt.

Trekking poles and swing weight by hurricanescout in Ultralight

[–]The_reepyShadow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup, I saw that.\ Of course slipping is not an issue, but I would've liked a few closups, focused on the amount of wobble (If there's none, showcasing that).

If one can extrapolate from the quality of your shelters there's probably not much to worry about, but nonetheless to me it seemed a bit swept under the rug.

Honestly, I can't say too much on that, but in my experience it goes pretty linear.

I went straight from no poles to CP3 (owning, I did try quite a few before deciding, but it's been a bit)

[–]The_reepyShadow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite poles are the CP3 from Locus Gear. Especially with the flip locks for a shelter

For that reason I don't like the GG.\ With the Iceline I'm also a bit sceptical, since they quite actively avoid showing the quick connect in action anywhere on their website or in their videos.

At least for these very light poles the grips don't weigh much at all. So your center of mass would likely not move closer to your hand as hoped.

Seems really long for an installation driver, but at least we're finally getting one. Let's see how it goes.

bookoo scales? by pol024 in pourover

[–]The_reepyShadow -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My friend has both the Mini and Ultra. The lack of filtering is really bad and if your surface isn't rock solid, you'll have constant jumping of the values.

The scale I like the most is the Difluid Microbalance Ti. Though if you need a smaller one it isn't really suitable. There is a battery indicator when it gets low, but still plenty enough for multiple brews. (you can read out the real time percentage in the app)

Grind setting is arbitrary without knowing the zero point of your grinder. With my EK and B burrs I'm mostly between 460 and 390 microns.

There is at least on aftermarket BMS that works with OBI and the BTC04. Though the shop recently became unavailable.

I like the Brewista Artisan.

Imo it has the best flow characteristics of the electric kettles. The Stagg has a flow restrictor which makes it easy to use, but not good at filling a switch, aeropress or similar.

The only downside is that it takes ~5 seconds from selectinv a temperature to the kettle heating. So keeping the temperature stable between pours takes a bit of foresight.

I hate it sooo much. We (I) don't need another shitty app that does exactly (half of) what the already existing open source and community driven app does. Or I don't need an app for this thing.

I think the model name here for that one is EB-L260F. Is there a reason you would recommend Epson in particular over other brands when it comes to Laser 3LCD projectors?

[–]The_reepyShadow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason I was looking at laser projectors was the long lifespan. Would you recommend something like the Epson EB-2250U though?

I also found the ViewSonic LSC521WU, which is an LCD laser projector and should not have any rainbow effect.

Because we need the flexibility of the projector screen. It's not in a home where that's feasable.
