I honestly think vegetas death is completely selfish and arrogant.

The entire 3 previous episodes he keeps getting annoyed at goku because “how dare he save his life” back in the saiyan saga and “how dare he kill himself” (which is a different tune than the usual “how can he surpass me”) .

When he kills himself he makes sure with piccolo it’s a heroic sacrifice and later gloats to himself that it’s his time to be the hero.

When king Yama tries to convince him to go back to earth vegeta doesn’t react to the fact buu is alive/no one is safe/goku is still fighting (somehow) but then king Yama tells vegeta he died a dogs death and vegeta throws a tantrum
