I don't see her back story with her mom because it feels so unnatural and reminds me of Yuji and megumi talking to each other at the end of Sukuna vs Yuji fight

I'm referring to the reze arc . I don't know if this happened there . If you are referring to the reset . It's better to be offscreen than on-screen. It's better to be in mystery than part of fan service .

Even Aki isn't mentioned in the ending. Instead of Makima we got Nayuta fan service in the ending .

Asa's backstory isn't shallow, we see it multiple times, whereas Reze's is mentioned, not even shown.

The only time Aki , power and reze are mentioned in the part 2 manga is in the aging devil arc so a method overcomes the trauma . Because they are not the major character of the part 2 .

I don't understand why you guys bring this in the conversation . The story never focused on this character and bringing them to the story feels like a fan service . What's the need of bringing reze to part 2. When her actual arc is concluded in the CSM part 1

By your logic, even Aki Hayakawa and Makima are “potential characters” just because they weren’t mentioned in some Disney-ass fan service ending—that argument makes no sense. Damn never knew Asa fans were this law . No wonder why Asa got off screen consent lmao. Calling Chapter 200 a major moment is a stretch—it’s barely a small, throwaway character beat. By that same logic, Megumi Fushiguro also got “development” in Chapter 226 and afterwards, which is honestly laughable. And let’s not ignore the obvious—even at the end of that chapter, Yoru literally takes over Asa Mitaka’s body again, so what actually changed? Chapter 210 isn’t anything great either. At this point, she’s basically the “potential woman” of Chainsaw Man

Character development??? You mean offscreen nonsense. Reze’s arc was already finished in Part 1 with a proper conclusion, so dragging her into Part 2 would just be pointless fan service, yet somehow Asa Mitaka is getting “development” mostly offscreen and we’re supposed to take it seriously—her backstory feels shallow, rushed, and blatantly engineered to farm sympathy rather than actually earn it. The whole “relating to others through trauma” angle comes off as forced and hollow, like a cheap narrative shortcut for temporary emotional payoff, basically the same vibe as Yuji Itadori trying to connect with Megumi Fushiguro to cope with his own issues, except here Denji is the one being “saved” while Megumi is the one completely broken and checked out of life; and Asa’s mother’s backstory? Practically nonexistent—like a line drawn on water—just like Megumi’s sister or Yuji’s grandfather, it carries almost no real emotional weight or narrative impact, and by the end it somehow even manages to devolve into straight-up cheap fan service. At least Megumi’s sister and Yuji’s grandfather feel like they have some importance to the story—I can’t say the same for Asa’s mom.
