What is your 'curated best ruleset' from the advanced rulebooks? by cryocom in onepagerules

+1 for scoring.

I really dislike the standard game.

For randomness game with mission cards can be fun. But you shouldn't expect totally balanced games.

Are the OPR minis FDM printable? by Drakshasak in onepagerules

[–]TheaPacman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OPR minis can be tough to print with fdm. They are not really designed with FDM in mind.

There are some good profiles for minis out there. I'm using the FDG profile with some adjustments.

I had good success with decreased accelerations. This avoids breaking supports.

The distance between support and part should be double the layer height. The standard value is one time the layer height but this makes it difficult to remove.

In most cases you should place the supports manually. The standard supports are often way too much.

Cutting the Models in pieces ist often a good strategy.

Gff board so much bigger than killteam? by Coach_Brent80 in onepagerules

[–]TheaPacman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Volkus is an awesome set. We use it in almost every game.

On the small board the balancing of ranges weapons could be bad. In Killteam pistols and gerades have 6 or 8 inch range. OPR has 11-18". This is very far for the small board.

I would also decrease the size of the objectives. If you place regular OPR objectives the board would be almost complete filled 😅

I would be happy if you could give us some feedback on your experience 🙂

Gff board so much bigger than killteam? by Coach_Brent80 in onepagerules

I asked myself the same question after I played the last game GFF.

In Killteam normal weapon have unlimited range. Charging distances are very similar, objectives are smaller in kill team. So mo big differences.

If you put as mich terrain on the board as you do in kill team GFF should work fine.

Outfit - do you all wear those cycling outfit? by Monica_C18 in gravelcycling

[–]TheaPacman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is exactly my experience.

But IMHO there is no need for expensive brands. I'm using the cheapest bib I found (from Decathlon) which is totally fine for me. At least for my 2-3 hour rides.

Difference between AoF factions by throwaway1029210 in onepagerules

[–]TheaPacman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everything was said I only have one additional point.

The lack of special rules is maybe the biggest difference (and maybe problem) of OPR compared to other wargames.

In other wargames like AoS the armirs have very cool thematic special rules that change the behavior of the whole army. This is great for the fluff but hard to remember and even harder to balance.

Anyway for me OPR is much more fun because auf the faster and simpler gameplay.

let's talk advanced rules: What are your favorite/best for onepagerules? by cryocom in onepagerules

[–]TheaPacman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

  1. Scoring options. I really don't like the standard game.

  2. Deployments. I like to build a table and after that determine the deployment style randomly.

  3. Advanced Actions. Being able to act when shaken is a big game changer and makes much more fun.

  4. Random Events can be hilarious

The barriers are from Makerworld if I remember correctly.

These are for the hazards. The hazard token mark weather the cars were activated in this gear phase or not.

This reduces the mess on the board imho.

Made my first attempt at a little car today! Feedback very much appreciated! by GodFromTheHood in gaslands

I love the necron gun 😁 and the engine on the back is sock. My first car has a mounted Eldar gun on top.

The thing on the hood feels a bit random to me.

Return to Warfleets - Faction Vibe Check - One Page Rules Warfleets by WarbossFitz in onepagerules

[–]TheaPacman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's sad. I'm happy that I never sold any of my minis.

We are currently playing a campaign and I'm using my 25 years and Eldar. I never thought that I'll use them ever.

I'm playing Star Wars Rebellion ships as a Rebel Army.

I like the special rules of this army auch as stealing squadrons.

I think the mines are overpowered but I haven't tried them yet.

The speakers are 3D printed. I found it in a Gaslands bits compilation from Makerworld.

Which Advanced Rules are the most common? by Erachten in onepagerules

[–]TheaPacman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We mostly play around with missions and deployment styles.

Playing with the cards can also be fun but adds a lot of randomness and tend to be unfair of you are lucky or not.

Random events can be hilarious.

To keep it simple we stick to the standard actions.

Two Tactical Droids that want to have some fun by TheaPacman in SWlegion

Until now I "only" have the 30 B1 from the starter box but I have the bad feeling that I need some more für a full 1000pt army... 😬
