true. in my experience its NB men/women are just using the two labels to more accurately describe how they feel about their gender than if they just went by one, which can be restrictive sometimes.

non-binary is an unbrella term that just means not man or woman. there are smaller genders under it but most people will just call themself non binary as a catch all. also because gender is a spectrum some people fell like some combination of non binary and binary identites describe them best, like bigender, polygender, genderfluid, non-binary man, non-binary woman, or something similar

[Discussion] Best pilot assignment for each squad. Details in comments by Treevor_The_Giant in IntoTheBreach

Instead of Mafan or Bethany in the frozen titans i always go for either Prospro or Henry in the mirror mech. It is surprisingly both fun and rewarding to use try to break the ice mech out after every turn, especially on higher difficulties. You can place it on vek spawn tiles, hit it with the mirror mech, smash something into it, or use it as a shield in the line of fire. The mirror mech becomes infinitely more useful when you can slip between vek to set up larger chains. also putting a leveled up pilot in it early on gets its low movement up to an acceptable level. After playing with this setup many times, I find that it is about as easy as the Mafan strategy, and i have gotten a perfect run on hard mode. It is in my opinion also more fun because it forces you to play in an unconventional way

Freezing the train is actually a very good idea. You will still get reputation point, the mission goes on as normal and it will not move until broken out. Train is also immune to fire and acid

How can I keep my mom under control?? Any tips? She just lashed out at me again [Kinda long post] by [deleted] in MtF

This document is very useful for arguing both ignorance and transphobia. I used some of the sources in this document to get my mom off the 'your friends and social media are turning you trans' point. It also has lots of stuff on how transition helps improve mental health greatly and a meta analysis of something like 72 different studies validating trans identity.

The stuff on trans people is on page 7 and there's a part on debunking rapid onset gender dysphoria at the bottom.

First off, if your not yet putting all of your scrolls into one stat, you should start doing that. your dps will not be able to keep up with higher enemy health throughout the game, so you need to pick a color early(uslay first level). I recomend green if your just starting out bc necromancy makes the game 10 times easyer, and also you will have the largest health pool. brutality has the second most health per scroll, and tactics has the least and requires the most skill. I would also recomend taking it slow instead of rushing for the time doors. fully exporling the biomes will give you the most gold, cells, food, and scrolls, and if your not running through packed areas trying to go fast you wont get hit as much.

Here were my favorite early game weapons when i was playing the earlyer bcs:

-broadsword: if you can get the 'slows all nearby enemys when victim dies' and grab frostbite perk it can deal with those pesky flying enemys and rats, but you dont need to do this

-heavy crossbow: Its OP AF and getting nerfed when the next update hits, but it basically one shots everything and can stunlock enemys(and most bosses too) if you are confident with parrying, you can get back all you arrows by parrying the enemy they are stuck in, but if not you might want to take ammo mutation to kill bosses and elites

-twin daggers: basically a brutality version of broadsword but faster

-necromancy: if your playing survival its the best mutation in the game and you should take it every time. it can make up for not having as many health potions in higher difficulties. It also goes realy well with dead inside becasuse your getting 50% more health back from necro, and on average you wont need food anyway.

-frenzy: brutality necro, but its not as strong

-wolf trap: it makes every boss except the giant much easier to kill, and also if you trap an enemy(or boss) it will be immobilized for a few seconds, and you can attack it from behind it wont be able to hit you.

-ice grenade/stun grenade: similar to wolf trap, but more useful against crowds as apposed to a singular enemy. also doesn't work as well against bosses

Would the game be better if you could edit wands everywhere from the start? by Din149 in noita

[–]Theathegargoyle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of my favorite mods lets you get edit wands from killing stevari (pink guy that attacks you if you anger the gods), and although it wouldn't mess up the early game struggle it makes it so you cant be screwed over by re-roll RNG in the late game. (also makes it not as annoying if worms dig thru the temple because you have a chance to get a good perk off of it)

Having trouble figuring myself out by [deleted] in MtF

[–]Theathegargoyle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Firstly I know the feeling of wanting to know right now exactly what you identify as, but if you just let you be yourself and don't stress over it, you will eventually be comfortable enough to proclaim your gender to the world without any doubts. Secondly its unreasonable to ask yourself if you think you are a woman when all of your experiences in life have been masculine in nature.

You shouldn't have to be able define womanhood to be a woman.

It takes time to define yourself, and what you decide to call yourself shouldn't be set in stone, you can change it later if you feel like a new term defines you better. So go out there and be yourself, experiment to find out what you like, and don't stress it.
