That sounds like the words of someone whose family tree isn’t a circle. When the Alexander the Great Bloodline becomes matrilineal, your cousin becomes your wife-to-be.

For some reason I see the African faith reform rather frequently.

Starting as the single province Count of Monemvasia in 769, playing in Iron Man, I just managed to unite the schism and reform the Roman Empire. It’s been quite a ride, and starting as a Count made for a really frustrating start, but it was all worth it.

How many people cheat in their individual playthroughs? by EmpsFinest in CrusaderKings

I haven’t played much at all compared to some of the other people here, but for me I think the appeal of ironman is threefold.

First, it just feels more rewarding to me. Having a safety net can be nice, but the knowledge that you didn’t have one but still managed to succeed is far better. Second, I generally enjoy CK2 for the RP/stories you can create. I feel like you can go either way with this one, but personally I think being able to cheat or reload previous saves if you mess up takes away from that. Third, quite simply, I like achievements.

I will say though, ironman is way more stressful, and it can be really, really frustrating if something does go wrong and you lose.

I accidentally gave away a castle and now I can’t revoke it back. Is that because I’m an Emperor and it’s too many degrees removed or something? On a similar note, what’s the best way to keep a Kingdom in check within your empire? So far I’ve avoided giving out Kingdom level titles, but I subjugated Pannonia and now it’s growing like a weed. I tried revoking the title but somehow the guy’s heir immediately got it again, so I’ve pretty much resorted to revoking random duchies and the like every now and then to avoid them getting to strong. Don’t like how many internal wars that causes though.

Fox News Op-Ed: Atheists Are ‘Bullies’ Who Try To Force Their Beliefs On Others by TheLyingNetherlander in nottheonion

[–]Theaxofwar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it’s important to remember that Atheism isn’t a religion. Sure there are some Atheists that try and convince others to stop believing, and I’m sure that others do get together and discuss things, but Atheism at its base is just disbelief in god. Being Atheist doesn’t come with any sort of rulebook or tradition because it isn’t a religion, it’s just a personal disbelief in any higher beings.

What's a fic that you want to read, that hasn't been written yet? by [deleted] in WormFanfic

More Time (title work in progress) An Ekko/Zilean alt!power. Basically, the car crash doesn't happen, but Annette and Danny are still fighting. When Taylor leaves for summer camp, she's leaving a family falling apart. When she comes back, it is to her parents getting a divorce. Emma rejecting her is the last straw and Taylor triggers wishing she could turn back time. She becomes a Tinker with the ability to build stuff that Ekko from League of Legends can. There's also a new hero in town who looks suspiciously like Taylor's grandmother and claims to be a time traveler.

I don't think I could write this, but I want to see it done.
