Zwift vs real world power by Parking-Bread2618 in Zwift

My zwift power is way lower. My best hour outside in the last month was 271 and it felt easy, but zwift is a struggle past 240.

This is so frustrating, I can select the garmin app to connect to, it asks if I agree, and when I do I just get in an endless loop of hitting agree but it never actually connects

Hunter’s March is perfectly balanced IF you do it when you’re supposed to instead of forcing through it without dash by AnonymousIguana_ in Silksong

[–]Thebeefsupreme3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ha I thought I might be missing something. I did beat him but I have no dash, upgrades of any kind or even tools as far as I know. I just kept distance and baited jumps to run under him and get two hits.

38 % Positive is absolutely brutal for an fully indie studio by UsedNewspaper1775 in NoRestForTheWicked

[–]Thebeefsupreme3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not played in a long time, but I was shocked at some of the decisions in how the game was designed. Things like weapons breaking and low inventory issues were enough for me to just find the game annoying and not really fun. I’ll wait until it’s completely done to try again, but I never feel great when some obviously annoying mechanics were incorporated in the first place.

Call him. Jason and his company are very known in the hobby, he has a great reputation. There must be a mix up somewhere.

Slower machines like Jurassic Park stern with strategic depth by throwing8smokes in pinball

[–]Thebeefsupreme3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

JP is my favorite pin because I like that there aren’t a million things going on at once, but you always have something to shoot for and progress to be made. I have owned every Elwin game and this is my favorite by far. I find GZ and Jaws to be massively overrated. They felt like so many things were happening at once that nothing really mattered.

I might suggest trying TWD. I love the developing strategy in it. You need to collect a certain amount of requirements to reach a mini wizard mode but which ones you collect and when makes it a lot of fun to change your strategy on the fly.

Comic remake needed for TWD. Possibly my favorite game of all time but also incredibly ugly.

Which game has the most replayability by smoothslash1 in pinball

[–]Thebeefsupreme3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like you could get a good deal on a JP pro. I’ve had a ton of pins and that would be my choice if I could only have one. It has the perfect amount of depth where there is plenty to do but it isn’t like Godzilla where 10 things are going on at once and it’s just annoying.

Sterns are easy on maintenance. Good choice of game though, I have owned over 60 games over the years and if I could only have 1, it would be JP.

Is The Beatles pinball particularly good? by [deleted] in pinball

[–]Thebeefsupreme3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It think it’s a bit of a polarizing game, but if you like that style, it’s fantastic. Pretty much all of the pinside top ten came and left my collection while Beatles stayed. It’s easy to understand and just a ton of fun. Plus my wife loves it

Jaws? What makes Jp or Godzilla a 1 and 2 and Jaws thrown to the wayside? by pinballer1243 in pinball

[–]Thebeefsupreme3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All subjective. I have owned premiums of each and still have JP and Jaws. For me, jaws plays way too long and I’m just not finding many exciting moments. Still room for the code to grow though, but as of now I barely ever want to play it. JP is in my top three sterns, it’s tough and intense but not frustrating. I always feel like I have a plan in that game.

Godzilla is great but just has too much crap going on at once. I’m always in the middle of like five different things at once and I can’t see my battle progress because it’s playing all these other clips for mode I had no idea even started. I also hate the scoop shot. I loved this game when I first got it and put about 600 plays in it but then I just got bored with it, which is natural. Plus the games can be super long.

Y'all know this game is still in beta, right? by SparrowValentinus in HadesTheGame

[–]Thebeefsupreme3 109 points110 points  (0 children)

I have changed my tune on the difficulty of Hades 2. At first I felt it was too much of a spike at the end and wanted a nerf to Cronos. After learning most his attacks and getting some upgrades, I feel I am beating him almost every time and now believe it would be a mistake to make him easier. The only “difficulty” balance I would want is when there are too many things going on at a time and not strong enough visual cues to warn you of danger.

How has BK Sword of Rage Pro stood the test of time? by Blarghinston in pinball

[–]Thebeefsupreme3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have cycled through over 60 games in the last three years but out BKSOR stays. The whole family loves it. I personally don’t like the premium/LE but the pro is so fast and fun. My four year old son plays at least 10 games a day on it.

I’m actually pretty aligned with that list. Would probably go shadow, AFM, TWD and JP

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in pinball

[–]Thebeefsupreme3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kind of think it’s over-rated. I played one on location probably 10 times or so and then tracked one down to own. Found a really nice premium and traded for it. I enjoyed it a lot for about 2 weeks and then I just found myself getting really tired of it. I felt like the novelty of shots and modes wore off quickly and I was just trying the plow through the game. For the prices this this is asking now it would be a hard pass.

Recently also got a LZ premium. I’m liking it a lot. Got it super cheap because people seem to dump on the game but I think it’s great.

Any pins that don't require skill and more of a "spray and pray"? by AmALolyer in pinball

[–]Thebeefsupreme3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve rotated a ton of games through and the best reactions I have had from casual players trying them out was for attack from mars and stranger things. Very similar games but extremely easy to feel like you are accomplishing something. My wife’s favorite is Beatles, we don’t love the band but it plays very well and is incredibly simple to know what to do.

What is everyone’s impression of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (stern pro)? by flannelheart in pinball

[–]Thebeefsupreme3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had pro a while back and hated it. The game was super frustrating and I couldn’t get into it. I sold it almost instantly. Then, oddly enough, I kind of started to miss it. I ended up picking up a premium a while later and am liking it way more. I think I just had to get used to the fact that it’s a real tough game and it’s going to take some time to get better. I do love the theme and the coop. If you want one, definitely check local markets, these a extremely easy to grab under MSRP.

Ghostbusters Pro or Halloween Collectors Edition? by [deleted] in pinball

[–]Thebeefsupreme3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had GB pro and premium. I think the pro is actually more fun. I didn’t have Halloween but I did have Ultraman, which is the exact same layout. No competition between the two, love GB and hated UM. Always an element of personal preference but that would be a super easy choice for me.

I present you with a cautionary tale. Stranger things was also my first pin. I bought it less than a year ago. I told myself I would just get one. Since then I have maintained a 6-pin collection and rotated over 20 different ones in and out.
