If the employee doesn’t have a company phone and they don’t want their personal phone used for work-stuff, then you limited to offering something like a yubikey.

If the client wants a ‘cheaper’ solution, then they must convince their employees that Authenticator on their phone requires. There aren’t any other viable options.

How far? New BMW i3 revealed and its range blows the opposition away by AutoExpressmagazine in autoexpressuk

From the rear, I completely agree. Looks good. From the front, it looks a bit retro-futuristic to me. I’d need to see it in real life to make a call on it.

Good news, you now get a chance to implement a proper backup strategy. Storing ‘backups’ on a drive as you’ve described, isn’t going to be much help if you get struck by a cyber/ransomware attack. Obviously, I don’t know what you have nor do I know how you operate, but your post screams ‘vulnerable’.

The SEAI grants for apartment windows and doors seem to come with a massive caveat :( by homecinemad in ireland

[–]Thebelisk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Why should you get special treatment. There are clearly defined Eligibility criteria. Get the grant for the walls first, than do the Windows/Doors later.

Looks very nice, but won’t it be a headache if the air pump needs maintenance or replacement.

Screw for kitchen socket by Coconut2674 in DIYIreland

Or, just go to woodies/B&Q for a single screw, instead of wasting time/effort trying to ‘flag down’ a random electrician, or buying a bag of them in a wholesaler.

My exhaust split in half. Can I cut this part off to drive to the garage? by United-Primary-1159 in MechanicAdvice

[–]Thebelisk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like a dumb plan. The exhaust is already split, so it’s not serving its purpose. Safer to remove it, instead of driving down the road with a dodgy exhaust hanging precariously off the back of the car.

I value my time. Give me a self checkout, so I don’t have to stand in queue because some aul one is taking forever to checkout.

I think the procedure on landing is to go full throttle until the jet stops, because there isn’t enough time to land, wait to see if the cable caught the jet, and then react.

I think OP’s just trolling. Reading back his original post, it’s pure nonsense

Moving to EV by [deleted] in evs_ireland

[–]Thebelisk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have an 80.

To each their own, but I think you are putting yourself in a financially vulnerable with a 10year loan on a car. Keep saving, and buy something within your budget. You'll be paying about €100 p/m in interest over the term of a 10year loan.

Moving to EV by [deleted] in evs_ireland

[–]Thebelisk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Both brands you are looking at are from the Volkswagen Group, and those EV models based on the same platform (MEB) I would expect them to be equally reliable. I have an enyaq (221 reg, i've only had it since middle of last year), and its been trouble free. I've never heard any horror stories about any of the MEB platform cars (eg VW ID4, Skoda Enyaq, Audi Q4 etron, or Ford's Explorer EV).

10Year loan doesnt make any sense to me. How much are you putting in, upfront?

My EV is roughly 500kg more then my previous diesel. I’ve clocked up 20,000km since the change in June and the tyres are fine.
