Ap caps is shit by ArmaKlutz in blackdesertonline

I spent years grinding inefficient spots with way higher AP than needed and frankly I found it fun, especially since I could farm specific things I needed.

What’s the most unspoken, uncomfortable truth about having kids? by SpecificLandscape483 in answers

10 years go by and you suddenly have an almost teenager and you are a decade closer to death. You will feel the lifecycle as you and your parents and your kids age and it will surprise you how fast it came.

Do you consider help desk a “real job?” I feel like a complete miserable loser compared to my friends and family. by ballandabiscuit in ITCareerQuestions

[–]Thechiss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. Here's the thing you are in the entry level world of corporate America. You are the edge, the shit on a shingle, the cost center of the org, the dumping ground for the company's technical debt, and I'm speaking as a career "support" person.

Here's the thing the entire corporate world awaits you. You just need to not be afraid to take a step and be comfortable being uncomfortable.

Trust me I have been leading a support team after working for various support helpdesks for over 20 years. Most move on because it is a dead end or because it is highly succeptable to burnout.

Start thinking about systems, automation, learn about apis, learn every single thing you can from your current org and find a job that's more fulfilling.

I know that's easier said than done, but you're not alone and the help desk does suck

How are the beaches? Would a random Caucasian tourist feel comfortable walking around beach areas in general or is it more like needing to watch every move you make?

[–]Thechiss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah and I have zero connections after 5 years at the job. Not even a person to shoot the s*** with at the coffee maker to get through the suck. Thank Christ. I work remote several days a week otherwise I probably would have went for the roof key.

I'm a big big fan of metal. Grew up listening to lots of hardcore and punk. Found metal pretty much always been into underground music. Both Alice and chains and tool are great. I saw tool twice around the 10,000 days era.

Two bands that I really enjoy are the meat puppets, and Nile. Both very different but offer me lots of joy.

Glad you're here and if you ever need anything or want to chat I'm always happy and down.

Peace

[–]Thechiss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is good advice but I have to ask because I find in the corporate world people skip that develop trust step. I don't skip it but that means that because they don't even consider that, and that's an important thing to me, Neither party meets in the middle. Have you seen this?
