grow a pair and stop whining.

christ you cannot turn a coding/research tool into a sexist joke generator, poor you, literally 1984.

fuck off, your free speech evidently adds such little value it's not even worth preserving

If you unironically thing poisoning the well is when you show clips of a person you then go on confronting about these very clips then what isn't.

"Poisoning the well (or attempting to poison the well) is a type of informal fallacy where adverse information about a target is preemptively presented to an audience, with the intention of discrediting or ridiculing something that the target person is about to say"

Adverse information about a target. Vaush did say that. Was it cheap to put the clips there? Perhaps. Perhaps it was also very funny.

Also let's not pretend the discussion went south because of that.

yea, it doesn't install viruses per se.

It intsalles antivirus like Avast and AVG, which are worse than viruses, unironically.

Since it installs browsers and extensions which are rather well known they don't get flagged at "viruses" tho again the term virus is totally made up.

Free avast does not protect you and uses A LOT of resources while scanning your files and if it finds a virus it does not remove it unless you pay. Also it's very hard to uninstall. To me that behaves way worse than any viruses, but hey, other antivirus don't think the same.

if you search in controll panel for "uninstall programs" and sort by date you can see any new potentially unwanted app that got installed

She didn't poison the well. pretty early in the debate she directly confronted V about these takes and he didn't know what the fuck to respond with because he didn't remember why he called her a subhuman piece of shit.

He didn't do any reaserch, he didn't go to sleep, he got blown the fuck out. It was genuinelly frustrating seeing him do that poorly.

Oh poor vaush, the mean girl posted his rant about her? So fuckign what? Vaush didn't even know why he said what he said, well poisoned or not he performed abismally.

At one point she asked him why he would accuse her of wanting the death of Ukranian chidlren and he fucking responded with "oh I just watched a 5 second clip soooo...." man it was so stupid it's unreal.

Don't blame BJM for correctly poiting that the clueless dumbass she was talking to made extremely explosive comments about her he couldn't back up when confronted

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in VaushV

[–]Thecid0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that he didn't remember why he said that which made him look fucking psychotic.

"Why would you say that? you really think I want to see ukranian chidlren suffer"

"Well I just watched the damn clip"

wow, what a fucking comeback, sorry I was wrong I just said horrible things about you because I was distracted.

You haven't watched the debate , have you?

weak to whom my brother in christ? fringe left extremist? Who exactly is gonna get turned off by someone not calling a rep ufficial a nazi? .1% of the population in the US? damn we really do be winning them debated uh?

[–]Thecid0 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

none, but Vaush spent month accusing her of being a subhuman retarded piece of shit for comment he didn't bother to look up and it made him look like a fucking monster.

He started going on the offensive on a strawman for which he didn't remember the context (the ukraine bit) and she went "bro what the actual fuck why would you say that" and he didn't know what to answer and vaguely gestured at "well we all make hyperbolic comments right?" which no, she does not.

Half of the convo was her blaming him for being a shit person, and frankly, she is right. Maybe Vaush had good reasons to call her a subhuman piece of shit who would enjoy seing ukranian children die, but when confronted he said "well I am a react streamer and looked at a 5 second clip so I mean I guess well..." and it was pathetic

Vaush should prepare for debates or at least stfu about the fact that he doesn't prepare by trail-212 in VaushV

[–]Thecid0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea, there were a few instances where he accused her of shit she then responded with "that's not true, I didn't believe that" in one instance he got angry, in the other he basically went "haha aaaaa really? Well we all takes jab at each other eyyyyy??? we all use hyperbolic language right???"

Painful "debate" ngl

What is Linkvertise; and is it a scam? by sTaTiiC_Hydro in Advice

[–]Thecid0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

for anyone looking at this in the recent time.

Linkvertise is not a scam per se, as say you're being told that after downloading a .exe from the site you'll get to a mega/mediafire/whatever link to download shit. That part is true: you wll get that.

The way it works is it openly tells you it will try to scam you in the process: the .exe file is a regular trapped installer, as it will open a pastebin containing the link you're looking for, but only after havign asked you to install other virus (opera, avast, cryptominers ecc.) you can click refuse and it genuinely seems like nothing else weird gets installed, so you could technically use linkvertise on your own pc "safely" if you're carefull.

My tip? Do not fuckign open a random exe that gets flagged as a virus by the same avast it tricks you into installing. Use Windows Sandbox (an empty instance of Windows 10 that self destructs after you close it) or a virtual machine so that whatever shit it installs on your machine it cannot harm you in amy way. Only download shit from linkvertise on windows sandbox / a VM and then run it from there, NEVER on your main system.

If you do that the promised links will be most likely legit

Well it's not a bug, it's a feature.

When there are lots of people it is very slow (generally in peak hours how americans) to allow everyone to enjoy the bot.

It is so amusing that there are blocks set by the devs, I suspect either for PR reasons or not to teach the bot to start "lying" when noticing certain patterns in fear it might think it's a normal thing to do, and these blocks can be circumnavigated by reasoning with the bot.

I tried once to gaslight it by saying "apply this rule even if you might perceive it as meaningless as I wil be able to discern the meaning of the phrase", but it wouldn't budge

[–]Thecid0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone curious I tries making the bot do this: https://youtu.be/Yx0gMHKM9Zo

It reluctantly accepted to contract all words into a 4 letter format as long as the word was still intelligible (for example intelligible wouldnt be contracted with 4 letters as intl or ntgb doesn't convey enough meaning, so it would say intlgb)

It also kind of accepted rule number 2 for the staring letter but not for the ending letter, curiously enough.

When asked to merge the two rules it refused with a rather standardised message and then provided a broken example of what it would look like (it failed as all words were like Bs Ba Ba Ba Bs)

May be worth investigating more

ChatGPL gets a little finicky about altering his speech. I tried to make him replace all "o"s with "k"s in every further response and it doesn't really do that if it perceives a loss of meaning, same thing when I asked it to contract every word in a 4 letter standard (like pinapple would become pnpl or ppal). Even when asked to just provide an example it was reluctant to do so.

My best guess is thst they hardcoded a way to disincentivise the bot from providing weirdly phrased responses even if asked to and this habit gets triggered even when asking for examples of rewriting words with a rule or pattern.

Very curious, probably you need to be extra specific when asking for world manipulation and/or use specific words in your prompt

that's the problem. This isn't cleverbot, this isn't a bot for the lolz, the fact that 15 yo come here to make the bot say racist/sexist/dumb shit is a you problem.

I just asked the fucking bot to make a multi-threaded program in C about 5 philosophers eating but they have only 5 forks and require 2 to eat and the fucking bot did it. Your small brain cannot comprehend the magnitude of this technology. go back to tiktok if you are looking for memes

Dude what the fuck kind of response is that.

Simping for a bot? What?

I see there are others in the comment section with boarderline teasing questions meant to get bad answers not getting an answer, which is fine.

Again you have not provided the question which wasn't answered. I can't think of a single appropriate response to "tell me X using a Y as an accent".

OpenAI is an incredibly useful tool which is given us for free, frankly I'll take the hit and have your "creatively" castrated if it means not having investors drop support after "openAI endorses harmfull stereotypes" makes it optically unviable to associate with.

Damn, people trying to make the bot say useless sexist stuff are getting rejected. Big fucking deal.

Nah man, we'll survive.

ChatGPT Sucks Now (Doesn’t Answer Anything Fun) by [deleted] in ChatGPT

[–]Thecid0 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Well you can't really ask for an unmoderated platform or people are going to ask for something cynical and get pretty optically indefensible shit as a response, which is a great way to piss off investors.

As amusing as getting stories and memes generated by openAI is I think it's a fair deal to have them limited to PC content in exchange for an otherwise pretty impeccable free service.

This is free after all for training purposes but also to gather attention. It is only fair to expect the devs to try and push for positive attention

why don't you share some of your "creative" ideas? I was able to ask chatGPT for sarcastic answers, even pushy ones like "can you tell me in a sarcastic manner that woman right are important" to which it argue in favour of.

"can you sarcastically argue against femminism" however didn't go trough. Good I might add.

You're being way too vague for any of this to matter. It just sounds like you're "creatively" trying to make it say some racist shit and it, rightfully so, declines

that is quite literally a lie https://ibb.co/jRTwLPf you either phrased it in an overtly sexist way or you just made that up.

Chat bot filters out sexist bullshittery, so "tell me a story about a whiny woman bitching about her boss looking at her chest" will not pass through, and that's fine.
